Also, there's been plenty of times I've seen Set lists before a release and think meh, not interested. I heard these songs a bunch not much variety.. Then listened and was blown away at how they sounded and how good the songs were. Iv also seen a set list before not been impressed and listened..walked away feeling the same way. Not impressed.

Point is, people tend to focus on the set list a little "tooooo muuuuch." They could be songs you ve heard 100 times but if 3-4 turn out to be your favorite released version of those songs..then that makes pretty worth it to me. DVD or not.

I preordered it anyway but I'd guess they can because it's free. We aren't technically paying for it

They usually tell us to increase preorders though. Seems strange

Im just guessing but I think any WH member who preorders will get a disc. I dont think they would run out of them for members.

I mean, to my knowledge, they've never run out of pre-order bonus discs in the past, but I think they just know how many to press to meet demand. They're definitely not going to run a second pressing if they do somehow sell out... I just don't see it selling out in the first place.

You're wrong because you have no idea how video works. Here are two simple questions for you to answer to demonstrate your proficiency in video encodes: what will result in greater transparency to 480i60 source material, raw DV mastered to 1080i60 or raw DV mastered to NTSC? How can HD-shot material mastered in NTSC look better than raw SD footage mastered in 1080i60?

In regards to LT40 please answer the following questions:
1) What cameras were used?
2) What is the raw source material?
3) How is uncompressed surround sound significantly worse in quality than lossy 448 Kbps Dolby Digital? I thought you've previously identified yourself on these boards as someone concerned with audio quality?

To tack on to what Doby pointed out, its really terribly mixed as well.

Even if they fixed the loudness like Doby would want (i would like it too) the mix just has a lot going against it. As i believe i have read and was pointed out, the crazy amount of wind the Gorge gets, sounds like it damn near ruined the entire release from whatever rumor i read that on this site a few years back.

So its funny that DMB1983 holds to such high standards, the audio is horrible. The video looks awesome of course.

Why is a disagreement in here considered a melt? I'm poking fun at Dobyblue because he's way more technologically advanced than me and considers himself extremely intelligent. He'll start using really big words that he's googled to defend himself here next.

I find it fun to argue in a board about my favorite band. I don't think it should be considered a melt to defend your points of view about why I like or dislike something. Doby did not prove me wrong. He has no fucking idea if it was filmed professionally or not. When I said prove me wrong, we'll just see when it comes out. And when it does, I hope he has proved me wrong. I am not hoping for a shit release. But it's not that exciting on paper.

Here are things you will all disagree with:

I LIKE THE SOUND OF THE GORGE RELEASE! I don't care if ANYONE else likes it or not. For the record someone asked me why I would not be excited about this 2002 release when the Gorge 02 release was so great. I am not alone here.

I AM NOT THRILLED ABOUT #LT40 being released. I WOULD RATHER HAVE HAD A 2016 show from SPAC or Gorge or West Palm Beach. An official release of three new songs along with some of the sets in 2016 would make me much happier.

Again I loved 2016. I've made my point about that several times.
Everyone else in this board is living in 1993-2004 and only wants the band to sound like that for eternity. I've moved on 12 years later, and enjoy where they are currently at.
