I like the pick of Terrance West. I haven't done any mocks yet, is he really going in the 8th? With Tate's injury history, West could have a chance to shine.
Where did Michael Floyd go? That is a guy I will be targeting all over the place. Hoping the hype train doesn't get too crazy with him so I can get him at a decent value.

Hype train is going to ruin Floyd. Literally hate this.

Over the past couple years Ben Tate had an adp in the 7th-8th round as a backup. Which I thought was ridiculous. He's now the presumed starter in Cleveland and he's only going in round 6. What happened to the Ben Tate handcuff lovers? Even in round 6 he's probably being overdrafted. He'll probably get hurt and Terrance West will take over.

Yeah would definitely have to handcuff them. I really don't even want to be looking for a RB in rounds 5-8... Bunch of crap.

If I don't get a chance at one of the top 4 rbs, I'll probably wait and go wr top heavy. I don't feel comfortable with Lacy, Ball, Bell or Lynch in 1st or early 2nd. I wouldn't mind Murray or Foster in late 2nd, but it would depend what wrs are still available. I'm seeing Jordy Nelson go in the late 2nd, early 3rd. That is a guy I will grab everytime from mid-2nd on.

Apparently Lacy, Lynch, and Ball are top 8 projections as of now. Murray top 15. Yikes.

I like Lacy and Ball. Not touching Lynch. Like Murray but you have to handcuff him.

yeah, I'd almost rather stock up on wrs and grab guys like Gerhart, Ellington, Stacy, Rashad Jennings. You might even have Doug Martin available in the 3rd. Pierre Thomas in about round 6. These guys aren't going to carry your team, but they can give you enough to win. Especially if you're stacked at wr.

I like Lacy, but not in the 1st. I'd prefer to wait and see how he does with a full season of Rodgers. Plus with as hard as he plays with fighting for every yard, there is an injury risk there. Green Bay will have a healthy group of rbs back, except franklin of course, and they'll utilize them. I don't see Lacy carrying them like he did last year.

Dallas RB situation is a 4-way mess.
Want nothing to do with Lacy or Lynch.
    Ball price tag too high.
Bell starting to get too high too. Mid-2nd at the earliest, but he'll go sooner in most. -_-

I did a mock where I was able to get Demaryius, Dez, Cobb at WR then Spiller and Gerhart at RB. If I couldn't get one of the elite RBs, I'd take that.

Stacy projections are probably most absurd. Some say top 15 overall.
Martin could be fun but only at the right price, especially considering murky TB situation. He'll still go atop the 2nd, though.
Gerhart and Jennings as RB2s seems so frightening.

Almost any RB you take this year is going to have question marks.. Outside of maybe the top 4 (Include Forte), you're taking a gamble.

that's a sweet wr core. I'm not sure yet what to think about Spiller. Need to do some more research. I like Gerhart this year. I could see him being a top 15 rb.

Stacy is a tough call. He and Ellington are going around the same spot and I'd prefer Ellington. I could see Stacy losing some carries to Tre Mason and Benny Cunningham. Ellington is the guy in Arizona.

Talent-wise Ellington, Taylor, and Dwyer are all good RBs in Arizona.
    Fantasy-wise I wouldn't consider Ellington.
Just pricetag and with Arians...who knows.

All about Spiller this year. Would LOVE to get him in the 3rd.

Spiller's been going in the early 4th in mocks I've seen. I'd like to get a top RB first, 2 top WRs then get him in the 4th. Good value I think although Buffalo's idiot staff and Bryce Brown scare me a little though.

Spiller is currently going around 3.08 in a 12 team. Same area as Stacy and Ellington. Spiller has the most upside. I think if you take Spiller you grab Fred Jackson, currently going 8.10. That is decent value in the 8th. The guy won't go away.

I'd be shocked if Stacy doesn't go in top 20 overall, currently based of course.
Also it might just be the people in my league. Some of them get caught up in Yahoo's rankings.

As far as Fred Jackson, despite loving Spiller right now, I wouldn't bother with the handcuff.
Obviously one downside of them is needing them for safety, but still,
Jackson could be going in the 10th round and I still wouldn't want to be obligated into taking him.

Assuming Josh Gordon is suspended for a long time (more than 4 games), what are your guys' thoughts on keeping a last round Toby Gerhart. 10 teamer, with 2RB and a flex. GM said the other day he would get the majority of touches and I see projections of 1100 and 7 TDs.

Only other option would be a 9th rd Matt Ryan as my QB. But after his season last year and the number of studs not kept usually, I'm leaning towards upgrading at QB. Already planning on keeping Gronk in the 8th and A Brown in the 5th (1/2pt ppr).

I'm in on Gerhart this year. He's been a decent fantasy producer when he's been the guy at rb. If he's a last round keeper option, I don't think you can go wrong. Ninth round for Ryan might be close to his value anyway. I like Ryan, but there are so many options at qb especially in a 10 team league. take the qbbc approach and you can easily have the equivalent of a top 5guy.

All the evidence points to Stacy having a big year. I don't think the projections are absurd, but they should definitely being taken carefully, as they are based only on a 3/4 of a season, half of which their starting QB was injured.

In my leagues, I'd be surprised if he fell into the third round, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was taken late first in a couple.

Anyone a member of any of the pay-for-info fantasy sites? I've been a member of the Huddle for a few years. I like it, but find that I don't really need it. Anyone have any other suggestions?

    I subscribe to the following.

fantasyguru.com - tons of information. he also has an afternoon show on the sirius fantasy channel

footballguys.com - my first year subscribing to this, seems like quality stuff.

rotoviz.com - new articles everyday. this site goes behind the numbers. lots of formulas and calculations. check it out. i think you can read 1 or 2 free articles a day.

4for4.com is a good site. i used them in the past.

also used profootballfocus.com in the past. some of these sites you can get for free with a deposit into fanduel or one of the other daily sites. keep an eye out for promos. you can always make the deposit and later withdraw. and always sign up for the free email newsletters. some of them are daily and give good info on daily fantasy news.

The NFFC(National Fantasy Football Championship) is currently running a promo where if you deposit $50 into your fanduel account, the NFFC will credit you $100 towards any of their leagues. I did this last year. Got in a $125 league for only $25. https://www.fanduel.com/nffc
