The only thing to really be intimidated by at these tailgates is the heat. Dear God, the heat. It's on July 27th. Last year wasn't quite as bad as 09' though.

Everything else is cool, though.

Nope. Weekends are the busiest time at the clinic, so I need to choose my requests carefully.

So, this show, which we always think might be pretty good because it's their "hometown" summer show, but always turns out only decent, has some added intrigue this year with it closing the Eastern leg of this tour.

What do you guys think?

Eh, each year we all try and come up with different excuses as to why Bristow should get a great show and each year were always wrong. Don't get me wrong, a show is a show and it's fun as shit, but its not going to catch a Alpine n2 12' show. Bristow is a non-destination venue catering to a very large population, so your going to get more of a festival-style set here. Still, its super fun, so you should come. If for nothing else, just have a few beers with us in the parking lot.

I'm absolutely in. This is now my home venue as a new Washingtonian, so I can't miss it. Look forward to meeting everyone.

been going to Bristow for the past 4 years and finally think im skipping this year. really average shows and the crowd around me in the pavilion has been awful. from getting someone telling a security guard to come over and make me sit down to the 40 year old in front of me puking last year I think I had enough. probably picking up scranton to replace it

Being in Harrisburg Scranton would probably be a better option for you. its a pretty setting and they get some pretty decent shows up there.

So after getting (almost) railed for Bristow last year, I've decided I cannot miss this tailgate again. Especially with it being a Saturday again this year. If you guys pull off anything like what you did last year, I'll be damn sure not to miss it this time sitting in line for another mediocre show. Sounded like basically the tailgate of the summer last year.

Went to bristow last year for the first time ever. I agree, it was not at all the best show I've seen, but does anyone have some hope considering its the last show of the first leg of the tour?

Even if we don't get some other worldly show, I think most shows on this tour will be just a tad bit less AFTW heavy than the fall was, more like 4 to 6 songs each night. So maybe a bit more variety.

Lots of first time venues for me this year - excited for Pelham, first tour opener I've ever been to. Hopefully something shakes out in Atlanta for the day after - rumors of a free GA show for NCAAs bouncin' around. Other shows in my signature.

Definitely doing Charlotte, VA beach and Bristow. Going from one to the next caravan style. Maybe one night at Alpine (I'll be in the Midwest that weekend) and have some folks I'd like to see at Camden. Gorge us always a goal!
