Billy Horschell had the best post-season fedex run in history. I think Snedecker had the record in the past winning the playoffs from the 19th position. Billy came from high 60s and played the best golf of his life the last month or so. it was great to watch

I agree that it there was great golf, as I was reading the recaps the next day on ESPN. As for names, Rory is the hottest product in golf right now, but I think if Ricky Fowler could have been there it would have helped getting people to watch. IMO, the average American golf viewer wants to see named American golfers winning on the PGA or Fed-Ex cup. Simply look at the US Open this year with Martin Kaymer running away with the tournament and not a care was had here. (Up until this weekend, Horschell was not a named American golfer.) If Rory had won it all, it would have capped off one of the best years if gold by a single player in over a decade.
Read about Horschell coming out of nowhere to win it all this morning, but it never got a whiff on any major sports or news outlets until AFTER he won it all. This is where the PGA needs to to crank up the marketing machine to get people excited when this stuff is happening. Tough with the Ryder Cup right around the corner, but I think a huge opportunity was missed to get a good sports story out there with all the other crap going on right now.
