Started watching in May....Just finished....holy fucking shit (and I knew the ending). The greatest show in the history of television. BB is a close second, but Sopranos goes over because of the abundance of great characters. From Tony, to Paulie, to AJ, Johnny Sac, to Phil Leotardo....So many interesting storylines.

Tony is dead...it makes 0 sense for him not to be. "Guy In Members Only Jacket" is credited on the last episode. There's meaning in that

    best show for sure

    he's dead, agree

there's a good youtube video - where they show that the final scene goes back and forth between looking at tony in the shot, then seeing the scene from his perspective

the black was from his perspective

Will not be reading this thread until I finish the show obviously, but wow pretty good so far.

Just realized in the episode where Tony B. clips Billy Leotardo when Tony is having his dream (AKA most of the episode), during the part where he's on the horse in his house talking to Carmela telling her he wanted to move back in she said that there were some non-negotiable rules:

Tony couldn't bring his horse (whores) in their house because they stink and shit all over the place.

I've watched this series about 6x the entire way through and never once caught the nuance in her voice when saying "horse".

    Pretty good stuff.

I did catch that at some point, but it was more the grammar nerd in me that made me look closer at it. She refers to Tony's single specific horse, but uses the plural when talking about how they stink and shit. If she was still talking about his horse, she would have said it stinks and shits.

    Then I did hear whores.

    Very cool little thing.

Same here. I'd been waiting for them to drop the middle of the series on blu-ray instead of just 1 and 6, so now that the whole set is out, I may pick it up and start from scratch.

    $90 on Amazon now...

The wife and I just finished watching through this show for the first time, great, great stuff. I think our consensus favorite character is Paulie. Bobby's death tore me up. Chris' death I was indifferent about. Hope Sil pulled through (just when I think I'm out, they pull me back in!!!). AJ was a little cunt right up to the end, I don't think he had a single likeable moment in 6 seasons.

Those are just my quick thoughts after finishing the series. Really enjoyed it, though. Now I go around and yell "OH!" every time something big happens.

The biggest and maybe only offender of that was Vito.... the one egregious example of him doing that was while him and Baccala were complaining to Sil in the hospital over a decision about turf/money.
