Farm Aid '16

Anybody heading to the Lube this weekend?

Pretty solid lineup, especially leading into D&T. Love some Bama Shakes and really looking forward to hearing from Sturgill.

Any setlist hopes from D&T? Wishful thinking..but hoping to see another Stone opener, ala CMAC. Otherwise, I think Two Step will come out, especially since it was underplayed full band this year.

All in all, should be a great Saturday, as always!

    Not bad!

    Dont drink the water
    Grey Street
    Crash into me
    Samurai Cop
    Crush
    Bismark
    Two step
    Ants Marching

Did you like it? What was your favourite song?

I liked when Timmy finished his solo during Crush how Dave looked at him... I hope to watch them on 20 more Farm Aids!!!

I love this DDTW. Great stuff overall.

Bismarck seems off to me in the chorus. The timing of Dave's rhythm on that part throws me (and I think his singing) off...

I'll take Don't Drink in a D&T setting, almost every time.

Grey Street has really come into form for them--it use to feel noticeably hollow with the horns, I thought.

No Dixie Chicken in Crash, which seemed odd..Also, noticed that Dave changed the lyric "Hike up your skirt a little more" to something like "Up the hill a little more"..maybe that line is starting to feel cringe-y in his middle age.

Sam Cop still isn't resonating with me. Granted, I don't have kids. I just don't think it's powerful--musically or lyrically.

Crush was outstanding! Bismarck is my favorite of the new tunes, was thrilled to see that come out. Two Step and Ants to shut things down--can't ask for better than that

More Dave and Tim, please. I'm enjoying their sound much more than the band

that soft ending to Two Step was a little bit different. I was waiting for that move to the up tempo dueling guitars as in past. these softer endings happen more often now.

To me, this was because Farm Aid was more of a family friendly/wholesome environment. With the webcast and all, thought he consciously changed this up.

I obviously don't know that this is the reason but it looked like they were unsure of where they were on timing, they thought they were done after Two Step and then discussed it with Craig and played Ants, I doubt they will end Two Step like that going forward
