Of course, Nolan. I'm not sure this is Fincher's genre. Definitely agree with Aronofsky, but Mendes is tied to 007. Favreau, Singer, Webb and Vaughn are Marvel studio guys and I don't like their evergreen way of directing.
The Snyder comment caught me off guard because I've never heard any grumblings with his style of directing. Personally, outside of Nolan I can't think of anyone else I'd rather have than Synder. Watchmen is one of my favorite superhero movies.
If you are looking for a more marvel approach to DC comics, I don't think you are going to find it. Ergo, Raimi, Favrau, Vaughn, Webb and Singer are not going to be good choices for the depth of Superman and Batman. Marvel and DC have a significantly different mise-en-scene.
