Re: Live Trax 32 - 08.23.14 - 3CD+1DVD (DMB skimps on Blu-ray again)

Very excited for this! I picked one show this year to see DMB and it was N2 at Berkelee! Couldn't be happier with this choice. That puts me at 3 official live released shows now!

Looking at the set for all 3 nights, I probably would've chosen N3 on paper. Or just a damn box set of the whole weekend? Why not? They chose this show for Crash, Everyday and You and Me. No doubt.

But the energy at the show was great! We'll see if they get it right on the mix!

Are you excited because you were there or because you think it's actually a good release?

This is a shitty release. But, of course, there will still be plenty of idiots who buy it that management will think it's a good choice (and put out more shit.) Good job people, keep buying the crap they release; it'll only bring on more crap. If you were smart, you'd all avoid this one like an aid worker returning from Liberia. But, I'm sure enough will still buy it to make mgmt think the 2014 tour was a success and this was a good choice for a LT.

if the lovely ladies are muted, yes, they got the mix right.

but they'll probably crank them up because they're OMG SPECIAL GUESTS

Love the venue, the band was excellent, and they give us the 3rd best show of the 3 night run. Why not give us the entire weekend or either of the other two shows if they were going to select only 1?WTF?

solid choice. Looks like a good selection of bundles. Really like the poster variant. This thread is greatly overrating the import of a 6-minute acoustic Two Step. I agree that Minarets was an electric standout this tour, so too bad that wasn't represented. Really wish they would have had a full disc of N1 and N3 selections. I always love the bonus discs.

^ The acoustic set was well-executed, if unremarkable.

I really have no problem with all the negativity. always good for a chuckle to come on Ants these days.

On a positive note, can't wait for the day I log on and there are 400 ants or do online checking out some real new album news.

I'm sure they could have done better. I don't remember from set to set what the better shows were this year. I was somewhat disappointed with the whole 2-sets thing this year, so don't know there was anything special to choose from. "Solid" was solid for this year.

"The Lovely Ladies contributed in large part to the Berkeley magic, joining the band for tremendous vocals" ....They ruined The Idea Of You.

"The show-closing Rapunzel was a nice surprise ending to a stellar evening with the band" ...Ya, they never end with Rapunzel.

    Who writes this shit?

Was at all three Berkeley shows, and this one was by far the weakest set of the three. Not sure what they were thinking. It was definitely a very special weekend, awesome venue and the band was on fire, and obviously I'm ecstatic a show I was at is getting a release, but I would have released N3 with a bonus disc of highlights from the other two nights.

I regretfully missed Camden N1 this year, and caught N2 instead. It wasn't a bad show, but nothing compared to N1. That said, I sometimes wondered how ironic it would be if Camden N2 from 2014 got released one day. I knew people would complain it wasn't a very good show compared to some others.

Compared to LT32's actual pick, however, N2 is brilliant.

EDIT: I love how even the folks that were at Berkeley are saying this was a weak choice.

Maybe if enough people DON'T buy this, management will stop thinking we're just a bunch of monkeys who'll buy anything if it comes from a "cool" venue?

Never understood the hate for the LL's on this tour. It was great having them back and the different arrangements some new (and old) songs took. Looking forward to this release!
