Experience in Hospitality Lounge

I know before I had ever been in the hospitality lounge at a show, I had absolutely no clue what to expect, what was included, and what it is like. I had the privilege of having lounge passes for both nights of Deer Creek this past weekend, and thought I'd quickly write something up for those who may have the passes in the future.

- Passes were picked up from Warehouse/band list will call. Very quick and easy. They aren't actually paper passes, they are "fancy stickers" that you must wear at all times to get into the secluded area. My wife actually thought the stickers themselves were so cool that she is framing them with some other stuff from the nights (posters, etc).

- The Warehouse tent had absolutely no idea where/what the hospitality lounge is, but luckily one of the nicest guys I have ever met (named Greg) was able to walk us over to the secluded area, introduce himself and everyone else, and just show us around a little bit).

-Lounge was behind all the tour busses, through a wooden gate guarded by a very nice security guard. Lounge had anywhere from 20-40 people at anytime, depending on when you were there. Food included many types of chips/crackers, hummus, oreo/chips ahoy cookies/sandwiches, fruit, veggies, and a couple other random things. Drinks included dreaming tree wines, many beers, vodka and whiskey for both nights. Drinks could come/go from the lounge, but beers are always poured into solo cups.

-Absolutely awesome to be surrounded by some of the people there. Rashawn came back on Friday for about 15 minutes and took pictures with some people and saw some friends/family. No band visits on Saturday, but it also appeared to be "crew family night", as there were 3x more people on Saturday, and all had all access passes stating crew family.

By the end of the weekend, had gotten to know a lot of good people surrounding the experience, and even was able to get my wife/I's name added to "the list" for any other shows we are attending this year.

Hope this helps anyone with questions about the lounge... by far some of the best times of my life, and will continue to be going forward. It's as close to a backstage glimpse as most people will ever get.

That sounds awesome! How in the world do you get lounge passes... You must know someone who knows someone who knows someone's uncle's grandfather's stepson?

I got two free passes for SPAC. It was definitely a nice experience. Being able to get free drinks and food all night was worth it all, even though I didn't pay.

mgmt gave me hospitality passes for SPAC both nights, and I thought it was very enjoyable. Was also nice to watch the celtics during boring songs.

How do you get these passes? Knowing someone or paying for them?

have these for Izod center. pretty excited. assume it will be a room somewhere backstage, probably on the total opposite end of the dressing room areas. will be nice for some free booze, snacks and a place to go to the bathroom with zero line.
