Couple of things: I'm surprised seeing Wichita St. as the "last team in" everything we've heard around here (since Creighton is in the Valley) is that the MVC is a one bid league.

Maybe I just haven't been paying attention but George Mason @ a 7 really shocks me. But looking at it a little bit in depth the Colonial is really a high thought of league this year.

The Mountain West getting two #2 seeds? I dunno. I'd really like to see one of the Big Easts team (ND or Georgetown) slide up to that #2 and maybe space out those Big East teams.

But...its still early. Lots of things can still happen.

Also a couple thoughts on Nebraska:

Not a real shock about where they're at in the "Next 4 out" everybody around here really thinks thats where they are right now.

The game tomorrow against KSU I think is a real crucial one for both teams. I really think it puts the loser in the "first one out" of the Big 12. Maybe not so much of KSU, but obviously Nebraska. I just don't know if I want to be sitting on Selection Sunday and be in the #7 hole in the Big 12.

I think its a pretty easy equation for Nebraska to get into the Dance. Finish 3-1 down the stretch and win 1 in the conference tourney. Win 4, I think they're in w/o a win in the conference tournament (barring a loss to a #12 seed or something like that). Go 2-2, you have to win two down in the tourney. 4 wins I think gets it done for Nebraska.

Wow, MSU is really disappointing to watch in this game. Izzo's game plan is apparently this: lob up 3-point shots every fucking time you have the ball. And don't even try to rebound.

GMU is playing decent ball. My GF goes there and I've cought a couple games this year. Honestly, I'd say they are a 8-9 though.

BYU and San Diego St. play this weekend and probably again in the MWC tournament. one of those teams will play themselves off of the 2 line.

Looked terrible in the first half, but turned it around when it counted. However we get 'em, I'll take the road wins.

At this point, the tourmament is looking more likely than not - which is more than we could say a few weeks ago.Beat Iowa and Michigan, get a win in the BT tournment and we're in.

I know we suck on the road, and Arkansas needs a big win to keep their coach, but I'd be shocked if it was close tonight much less they play good enough to beat us. We need this win too, and a convincing one at that.

I doubt that's Izzo's gameplan. It is fustrating how many outside jump shots they take. But hey, we ended up winning that game.

All I care about at this point is making the dance so our streak isn't ruined.

I don't actually think it's Izzo's gameplan, but it's really frustrating seeing these players repeating the same mistake over and over again.

I think that if we make it into the tournament, we go to the sweet 16. But we have to make it into the tournament first, which is still an uphill battle.
