The seller shipped them! I should have them soon. I didn't think that was too bad of a price.

The seller had three auctions going: 2, 4 and 6 bottles. I thought (correctly so) that I could get a lower per bottle price by bidding on the 6 bottles. Here's how the auctions ended up:

2 bottles: $50 ($25/bottle)
4 bottles: $60 ($15/bottle)
6 bottles: $73 ($12/bottle)

Had a Bell's Double Cream Stout over the weekend. Very tasty. I'm still trying to get my hands on some of Troegs latest chocolate stout.

Awesome, congrats. Are these 22 oz bottles? I agree that price isn't too bad for a 22 given the difficulty of getting it. Seems a little steep if it's a 6 pack of 12 oz bottles, but either way, enjoy. Ill look forward to hearing your review.

It said they're 500mL bottles, which is about 16oz, I think.

    Hey guys,
Been awhile since I've checked in here. Wanted to let beefsteak, tiduwho, and the rest of my beer geek buddies know that I finally scored a beer refrigerator. A local business I frequent were giving away a wine fridge that wasn't keeping their sodas and waters cold enough. I took it off their hands free of charge and now have my beers cellaring properly at a constant 55 degrees. Recently, I was able to score a couple of Sierra Nevada Bigfoots from 2006, as well as some old Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stouts and the 2009 North Coast Old Stock Reserve. These all fit in nicely with the other great vintages that are in my fridge. I am including a link where some pics of the fridge are posted. Take it easy guys and let me know what you think of the pics. What's everyone else sipping on these days, btw?

Hey Scott, long time no see. The beer fridge looks great (and nicely stocked!). I just picked up some Pliny the Elder's, which I'm really excited about trying. I also brewed up a saison which is in my kegerator now.

Harp is great, usually my go to if Guinness isn't available in tap at a bar.

Tastes close to like a Stella if you are familiar.

    i have a brewing question:

my friend gave me some extra christmas ales he brewed over the late winter. when i poured when in to my pint glass yesterday it was HEAVILY sedimented. basically is looked like a guiness on steroids during the pour with sediment. what would casue this? i had one at super bowl and it was fine. the sediment barely settled, and when it did approached like an 1/8"-1/16" thick

Normal, there's no real way to filter everything out of a homebrew. Don't shake it up at all and leave the last quarter inch in the bottle.

I live in the worst possible place in the US for getting good micros and other specialties. There are extremely limited supplies and very few beer stores.

Planning to tour the NOLA brewery on our next trip to New Orleans. Free tours on Friday afternoons.
