Why Does ATL Set Always Blow?

Seriously! Does anybody know why we always get sub par setlists? Every set seems light years better than Atlanta's. This year yes- but also every other year for the past decade. (With exception to the Piedmont Park show which was going to be released anyway.)

Now I always have a good time, and love seeing my favorite band year after year, but in regard to the setlists- THEY STINK!

EDIT: I enjoyed our accoustic set. This is directed towards the main set.

Along with a solid acoustic set, Atlanta's main set had a Granny opener, Warehouse, DIDO and Say Goodbye. The rest was a mixture of songs that have been played steadily at every stop this year. That setlist is pretty much on par with a lot of the other shows from this summer -- especially for a one-night show at the very beginning of the tour.

I agree about Atlanta getting subpar sets, but other than the encore i was happy with the show this year. The Acoustic set imo is still one of the best of this tour, When is the last time 2 songs were liberated back to back??
I think you may be letting the rarity rating from the Almanac effect your opinion towards it this year.

Also Atlanta doesn't have the fan base that a lot of other places have, not to mention the venue is just awful.

When comparing the other shows of this tour you get Long Black Veil, Nancies, So Right, Too Much tease > Halloween, One Sweet World, YNK, Seek Up, Pig, Stay w/ the Ladies, and so on and so on.

ATL: the last 8 songs have been overplayed the last few years. (I'm personally tired of Say Goodbye. We seem to get it on a regular basis. DIDO was a slowed-down shell of what I was expecting.

Just sucks to see such great shows pop up night after night, year after year.... There's so much left to desire after an ATL show.

I for one am incredibly happy I've dodged the Lovely Ladies this tour. They do nothing for me.

I would take ATL's acoustic set over the 3 I saw this year. I wanted to hear IBYU and PFWYG!

The Atlanta set this year is way better than the recent ones and anything with Tawatha and the two temp backup singers.

Travel if you don't like what you've seen.

Toronto has beef but Atlanta not so much....

This show set lists looks way better than they have the past few years.

7-07-08 was pretty good imo.

Eh I see your point, but Atlanta has a huge DMB fanbase imo. Because it's not just Atlanta going to the show. When they don't play Oak Mountain then everyone who is in the South has to come to Atlanta so that's people from MS to SC and what not. I've never seen a DMB show in Atlanta that wasn't packed, but yeah there aren't as many die hard fans as you would see at Camden or whatever.

And yes Lakewood sucks. Especially for DMB. Alpharetta is 100x better.
