Oh, but you can use that argument for anything that is really good. Any mob movie is going to be compared to Godfather or Goodfellas, and that's not necessarily a bad thing.

I'm sure once the movie comes out and people see the actual performance as a fully realized whole they'll take it, and like it or dislike it, on its own terms and its own merits.

Eh, someone has to set the standard. Before TDK came out, everybody wondered how pretty boy Heath Ledger was going to top Jack Nicholson. Turned out Heath was a damned good actor who hit a home run, delivering a performance that is both different than Jack's and excellent in its own right. I don't think one necessarily tops the other.

Jared Leto, who is a good actor himself, will offer his own take. Sure it will be compared to Heath and Jack, but I don't think that's so terrible.

I read somewhere that this is the Joker's Arkham Asylum look, and the tattoos were drawn on him with markers in the asylum. Would explain why the face isn't white, for one thing...

Even if most of them wind up amounting to just basically cameos... it'll kind of seem like the superhero version of Entourage

I'm tentatively excited to see what they do with this Suicide Squad movie--and I'm the guy who started the MCU thread here. Man of Steel did nothin' for me and the teaser for Superman vs. Batman doesn't look any better, but based on premise and actors, Suicide Squad could be pretty great.

It basically solidifies the fact that Affleck will be Batman moving forward in the DC Universe, and that really sucks.
