Zero. He's been nominated for other prestegious awards as an actor though.

Going further than that though, the guy clearly knows what movies need, especially in this era of his film career. He's in the middle of maybe the greatest career comeback in Hollywood history that wasn't self-inflicted by doing a shitton of blow.

He's fairly obviously the directorial back-up plan if Snyder doesn't give what WB wants from a director standpoint for their grand plan moving forward; I'd say almost to the point where they'd want him to fail so Affleck would take over.

But above everything else...maybe watch him first before you start crying about how much what he did in the movie that hasn't come out yet sucks?

Name a great American actor, and I can point to dogshit movies they did for a buck.

Okay, so mentioning that he's won Academy Awards is completely irrelevant then.

I've seen him in countless films. I know what he's capable of as an actor - he is good; no more, no less. Barring a complete break from form, he will be an okay Wayne/Batman. A character that beloved and iconic deserves better.

Everyone is still going to go see SS, so all this pre-release whining about a character who will be in the movie for five minutes tops is pretty comical

If a band you knew that you just sort of liked was about to come out with a new album, would you completely dismiss the album before giving it a full listen? Based on past experiences with that band, yeah, it would make sense to assume that the album might not be that great, but I think everyone would agree that it's pretty silly to completely dismiss it before giving it an honest chance, no?

If said band continually released albums that were just okay, it would be pretty fair to assume that their forthcoming effort would be just okay as well.

Michael Keaton never sniffed an Oscar nomination before he was Batman and people hated that casting. Turned out pretty well. And of course we could mention people hating Ledger's casting as Joker for the billionth time.

Ledger proved he had the chops to take on a difficult role prior to playing the Joker though, and he only had to be the Joker. Affleck has to take on Wayne AND Batman.

Again, he's a good actor. That role deserves better than good.

So much this. This has been my thought about him since the get-go. No actor has a perfect track listing.

I thought that was a given. Wasn't it announced that he's contracted to do a considerable amount of DC films?

Why would they unveil a new Batman in Dawn of Justice and then ditch the actor for the following movies?

Not ignoring him at all. Keaton proved that he could take on a huge role via Beetlejuice. Keaton was very good in the role. Not on the same level as West or Bale, though.

Affleck has made a TON of movies and not once has he dominated the performance. Throughout his career he's best when he's playing second fiddle to a truly great performer. I will not knock his writing or directing prowess, because he is fantastic at both. But he's incredibly average as an actor.

Was hoping that Suicide Squad would be it's own thing outside of the BvS/Justice League series.

I'd definitely be interested in seeing him direct some of these movies. It would be sweet if his friendship with Kevin Smith could be utilized in some way. That dude knows comics inside and out and would be great to have on hand when directing a DC movie.

I get some of the trepidation from some fans. I really liked Man of Steel, but I do see how others don't. I'm open to different interpretations of these characters as that's what the comics have been doing for years. I'm loving the New 52 stuff, and I feel some of the Batman/Superman stuff may be drawing a bit from that. They also draw from some of the older material, so I like the mix of old and new.

Some of the feedback these movies that haven't been released yet has been a bit over the top. Maybe they'll suck, but maybe they'll be awesome. I have faitht hat these will be really solid movies. I like to think that Snyder heard some of the feedback from Man of Steel and will be working to make Dawn of Justice as great as it can be. Ben Affleck is an OK actor. I agree he's not great, but I just have a good feeling about him as Bruce Wayne/Batman. In this day and age I think anyone that steps into a role like this knows the stakes and I have a good feeling Affleck will do it justice (no pun intended).

It's a movie about people in prison who kill people, how colorful and fun could one expect it to be?

I like the looks a lot, pretty faithful to the comic books for the most part. No Deathstroke is a little of a disappointment, though. Killer Croc looks awesome, one of my favorite members of the Batmam Rogues Gallery.

Bo, c'mon. I know you love the guy to all hell, and I'm a big Affleck fan too, but WB has a fuck ton of money and future time invested in this enterprise, I promise you there's nobody at the studio who actually (even maybe) WANTS Snyder to fail.

Will Smith looks better with the mask on IMO. Looks out of place seeing his regular face and bald head.

they came up with an idea, tweeted out the cool new look for Joker, and fans were like

so now they're planting that it was a troll and they're going to change his look.

Was that the real Joker look? Obviously. Why, you ask? Look at the Harley Quinn pix - she's all tatted up too.

    Yes

Smith looks like a Looney Toon with his head shaved. Deadshot's eye piece is also on the opposite side.
