Can't think of a time the band wasn't "on point" at the Gorge, so it's understandable for people to not be thrilled about getting a setlist that is extremely subpar compared to other Gorge years (or even a lot of sets this year). Yes, the acoustic set was literally perfect, but the electric set left a lot to be desired outside of The Stone, BOWA and Lover Lay Down.
The band having energy and being into it is always a plus, but that doesn't mean people can't voice their opinion about wanting songs like #41, Pig, Say Goodbye, Dreaming Tree, Raven, etc. to pop up at some point over a 3-night stand, especially in favor of songs like Can't Stop, You & Me, Out of My Hands, Shake Me, etc.
If they played a show consisting of Seven, Spaceman, OOMH, You & Me, Stand Up, Angel, Smooth Rider, Shake Me, etc., I wouldn't enjoy it just because they had a lot of energy and nailed it. Energy is good, but it's not a complete substitute for also wanting to hear certain songs. The two don't need to be mutually exclusive.
