I'm at a point in my life where other things take preference to drinking. Senior year of college, I drank three times a week sometimes, then other times didn't drink for a few weeks at a time. It's all about priorities.

I'll go with just the summer vacation since that's what I'm on right now. I probably go out to a party three times a week and average 12 or so beers a night. I probably drink two of the other four nights at a buddies house and we'll each have a six pack. That's 48 beers on average a week.

During a vacation last winter I probably drank more in a single week than I did the entire rest of the year. Monday - Do not drink. Maybe 1 beer after work and one beer with dinner.
Tuesday - Dinner at cousins probably drink a 6 pack
Wednesday - Prob drink a 6 pack at trivia night
Thursday - 6 pack defending trivia title.
Friday - Yes, I drink. Prob 6-10 beers
Saturday 6-10 beers
Sunday - Beers while doing laundry, sports, etc. probably equals 4 to 6.

As I said before, yes I do think I have a problem. If you asked me this a year ago, I would of been like no way man...but its catching up to me. I just quit cigarettes so I know I can overcome this as well, problem is I don't want to give it up for (which may need to be the case...) or even really cutback, because I still get shit done (gym, work, etc). But i do feel as if I am addicted to alcohol. Whenever something goes wrong or its raining, or I feel shitty, beer is the first thing that comes into my head.

There are always exceptions to the normal. They don't happen often for myself either, but a couple times a year for sure.

If you're not small drinking 12-15 beers on Fri/Sat isn't absurd. Then that's leaving 15-25 for five other days.

Mainly just drink on the weekends. But it's getting hammered not like casual. I only drank on Saturday this past weekend.

I love that I can drink only twice a week and still enjoy it and be able to function the rest of the week.

I hate blowing all my money on alcohol though.
