Since dmb.com has its new design, the country is mentioned at the tour board, even with shows in the us. i remember that different before, right? so that could be the first sign for a big european spring tour 2013! who agrees?

I'm so impatient to see DMB in Europe, specially in FRANCE !!! In 20 years, they gave only 1 concert in France at Paris in 2009

According to Live Nation France, there is, by now, no tour plan in Europe for 2013. Things can change and I hope they will !!

I actually heard from a really reliable source DMB is playing an Asian tour in 2013....

Boyd mentioned something about the winter tour being the start of global support for the new album. I think some spring European dates are pretty likely.

No Europe this year. Someone in Italy had talked to the main promoter who told them that DMB had chosen not to hop the pond this year.

Actually, two of my cousins are since there last name is Ryan. Every time they go flying it's a HUGE process. Apparently they have to be the last ones on the plan every time because of this.

Whether you believe me or not, it was posted on a DMB fan board in Italy, translated from Italian. Someone spoke with the Italian promoter at a concert, the same one who secured the band to play in Lucca in 2009. A show which I was fortunate enough to attend.

This was in early 2013, and the promoter told her that DMB will Definitely not be in Europe this year, but they were likely for 2014. I realize the first option on this board is skepticism, and I am often the first to question something I read here. But it's already April, no dates in Europe, and the full itinerary for the U.S. with no real openings, except for August which they have been taking off completely lately. The last time they did Europe, the shows were onsale from February.

They're not going to pick up after Shoreline and go all the way over to Europe in Sep/Oct. I could see them doing dates in early 2014 indoors, and hopefully returning in summer '14 for some festivals and other dates, but at this late stage, 2013 is not going to happen, and the Italian promoter was dead accurate when the DMB fan asked them point blank several months ago.

Agreed, they seem to like August off .. also, looking at past years I believe they do Int'l shows in Spring from what I can tell (yes, I am including Canada on that wish list).

We were hoping for some euro shows early this year as rumors were circulating end of 2012, but since then nothing has been confirmed over here so far. Each time they came it was spring time, or fall. So we were hoping for some march/april shows, or maybe september.
An important thing to consider is the new album still hasn't been released over here, because no record deal has been signed so far for Europe. Knowing that, the equation is very simple : no record company = no promotion (press, radio, store, tour, ads, ...) + no legal record representation to work for them. All this means : no tour possible without any promo support and record distribution.
And like anywhere in the rest of the world, records sales are still going down as Major Labels still don't understand they have to release REAL artists and sell them at fair prices (cd's and dvd's are taxed with 21%, not the 5 to 11% you have in the US depending in which state you're living in). So it that conjucture, I don't see DMB coming and losing money in travel, flights, hotels, before havong played one single note.
Yes the fans over here are still there, yes, the band probably wants to come back and play again over here, but the Music Industry has changed a lot these past years and money is priority n°1.
Even the US tour this year is not what it used to be, less dates, august off, this damn' global crisis is here more than ever and touches everyone.
All we can do here in Europe is : pray more , spare more money to cross the ocean and see them in the US , keep on with seeing them live on the Net when shows are streamed .
