Had a 6 pack of Namaste and a 6 pack of Oberon this weekend. Great beers for the pool when it's hot outside. I could drink Oberon all summer long.

Gose is all the rage these days (sours in general), which I'm totally down with as we head into summer.

I tried Boulevards Hibiscus Gose on tap the other day and it was delightful.

Figured you guys might get a laugh out of this

I was at the DC Zoo earlier this week, and I passed a vendor cart advertising local craft beer. Understandably, I was excited. So I ask the dude what he's got.

His response: Pacifico and Bud Light on tap, and Heiniken in cans

    Bit late, hopefully this helps

Very difficult to find Heady or Lawsons stuff on the weekends (as far as retail, taking stuff home)

Lots of places to both drink, and buy other great local beers to go.

    Burlington (and surrounding areas):
Farmhouse Tap & Grill - downtown Burlington...great tap list, good food / apps (all locally sourced)...bit pricey in general

American Flatbread / Zero Gravity - also downtown, good pizza and a nice selection of local beers

Vermont Pub & Brewery - been there a long time, make their own beer in house...not the greatest, but worth a stop if you are drinking downtown

Fiddlehead Brewery - this is about a 20 min drive from downtown Burlington, hard to say what they may have on tap or in cans to go...their IPA is pretty much a staple at bars / restaurants...their special offerings (IPAs) can rival the big 3 up here! Awesome wood fire pizza right next door, can grab a pint and a pizza.

Mule Bar - this is in Winooski, smaller place but always have a lot of great beers on tap

Winooski Beverage - this is the BEST retail spot in VT, a must stop

Waterbury (which is about 30 miles south of Burlington):

Prohibition Pig / The Res / Blackback - these are 3 of the best bars in VT, all right next to each other. All are worth checking out, amazing local and regional tap list. Food can be hit and miss, its really a matter of opinion and everyone has their favorites of those 3

    Montpelier (couple exits past Waterbury):

Three Penny Taproom - this is what I consider to be the best bar in the state!

Just about any good bar will have Heady cans to drink on site (expect to pay $7 a can though). Lawsons is very tough, you will find 1 or 2 of their beers on tap at the better bars (3 Penny, the Waterbury bars, possibly the Farmhouse)

These bars all have good websites, with updated tap lists...give them a look and feel free to post here / message me with any questions! Those are pretty much the staples, lots of other places to check out if you are looking for specific food and such.

    Cheers

Going to be up in Wisconsin next weekend for Alpine. Probably won't have any time to hit any breweries but does anyone have any local smaller breweries to keep an eye out for at the liquor store? Also is Toppling Goliath readily available up there? Thanks guys.

Yeah, I looked up Beer Bistro...but since I was at Xoco for dinner and the storm was coming that was going to reduce chicago to rubble, I went with Howell bc it was closer. I should have Ubered it over to beer bistro.

    Cheers
I just saw this.. Thank you

Ended up at Farmhouse which had HT and SOS cans, place was lights out fantastic

Also hit up Fiddlehead which was great as well.

Stopped by Otter Creek and Magic hat... meh on both of them

Was at Dead & Co at Citi last night and there was a couple ppl selling HT and SOS which made a good day a great one.

Hopefully both beers find their way to SPAC for Phish this weekend and then DMB in 2 weeks.
