MarchOn my post alerted people to the fact that there were no promo copies of this title issued, and when I say "plant" I'm referring to the manufacturer which is in this case Furnace MFG/Record Industry; whether they're put together in the US or NL is irrelevant as this is still the manufacturer putting the project together for the client. The manufacturer does not send out promo copies or test pressings to anyone other than those specified by the client and the person in charge of this entire project says no promo copies were issued. That's really the bottom line.
Why I C&P'd RI's statement on printing is not to demonstrate that they packaged LT, but to demonstrate that they are not as ill-equipped to do large and complex packing jobs as you suggested and Music On Vinyl have several times posted videos of them packaging up numbered titles that are in higher demand globally like the recent Temple of the Dog reissue seen here -

You made the statement "
Why would RLM ship 2,500 slip cases and 10-12,500 (depending on the LT release) jackets to Holland for plastic wrap, then ship them all back to the US?", well they wouldn't, they would send the artwork to Furnace and then either they or RI would handle the printing and packaging. RLM would not provide anything other than the graphics.
It was uncharacteristically sloppy of me to have just stated RI instead of the sister company, but not unknowledgeable as I had e-mailed Ali at Furnace back in September 2013 when I first received my test pressing of LT3 so I could ascertain what the other numbers on the sticker meant. (5LPs in each set, 1 box shipped for example).
I do apologize for any hassle I've caused you but your initial listing did seem of a surreptitious nature. If you're just looking for a decent market value for your item and now that you're a member here, perhaps someone here would take it off your hands?
