The fan base hasn't always been like this (at least that I've noticed). This whole weird dMbfamily #LoVE stuff didn't start until Big Whiskey, it seems. I wonder what suddenly brought in all these people at once?

I didn't vote. Both... WTWE studio, by a long way (it's one of my favourites studio), but live would be Pig. But then I hear Dave doesn't like it. So it's a mix.

When the World Ends is one of the songs that has proven that if you turn Tim down, it becomes more enjoyable with current DMB. But to say it's better than Pig is something I don't agree with. Props to people who feel the opposite.

My favorite this week was someone calling into a show was asked to pic a number like 1-100 or so. Picked 41, so people went nuts assuming she must be a dmb fan

Sure. I love the energy of WTWE studio, there are few other songs with that 'bounce' (even though that sounds lame, it's how I understand it!!), plus it was the second album I bought after Crash (back when I was 14 in 2005, in the UK bearing in mind haha) so I have that emotional attachment to it. Live WTWE for me is slightly flat, but I love seeing it. I however really really love the energy of Pig live, but for me that doesn't come across well in the studio (although I appreciate the quality of it), and also:

Not my opinion, my enjoyment. If the band is having an incredible time on stage, I'm going to enjoy my concert experience much more. If I'm thinking, "ahh he doesn't like playing that song" (kind of like when people shout out requests obnoxiously and the band then plays them), I will enjoy my experience less. I want the band to be having the best time playing. Make sense?

I respect your opinion, but theres no true way of knowing how much they are enjoying playing something. On top of that, that amount of enjoyment definitely varies per band member per song. And other than hearing some off handed comment and assuming they arent enjoying it, theres no way to tell. You cant base it off of facial expressions or anything like that because you simply cannot be sure. Did you not want to hear 41 with Roi because Roi didnt like it? Honestly thats putting wayyy too much thought into something.

They put out the product to us on stage. Unless you can tell the performance suffers because of the not enjoying it, thats a pretty baseless POV, because aside from being in their heads, there's no way to know. We all know Dave's opinion on songs changes with the wind.

Do you seriously sit there and ponder this during shows?
