Brady is not going to let the crappier younger brother of Fat Forehead beat him in anything. Period.

Hey Met fans, don't know if you all heard, but Pedro's contemplating retirement. His dad is real sick, and the article is really sad.

    http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/8157790?MSNHPHMA

"We're letting him have a nice end of his life.," he said. "The chemo is not going to help him. If they give him the chemo that might be it. They told me there's nothing we can do. He's eventually going to deteriorate."

This team is beyond explanation. Over the weekend in the Bronx, they looked like the '06 Mets again with timely hitting and pretty good pitching. Than they go to Atlanta, get swarmed up in this latest controversy thanks to Willie, and get stomped three straight games. It's extremely frustrating.

I don't think he is a great manager, no. He doesn't manufacture runs very much, which is what NL managers need to do to be successful.

Is Ryan Church ok from that concussion he got on that nasty collision the other day?
I took him out of my fantasy lineup after that, just wondering how the poor guys doing, and if I should put him back in.

He's an awful bullpen manager. Some of the pitching changes he makes baffle me. From what I've read, they need to have a good weekend in Colorado, or he'll get the boot before the beginning of next week since the Wilpons hate him as is for his stupid racial comments.

i blame rick peterson and howard johnson more than willie. if we can't pitch or hit... we can't win.

I have never seen jose reyes look this bad at bat... even his fairly recent success at bat is due to bloops that he beats out, not hard hit balls up the middle or in a gap.

Jose Reyes has slumped since Jose Valentin broke his knee last year. They need to get Valentin back on the team as a bench coach or something.

It's hard to blame Rick Peterson because the SP's are doing their jobs, the offense isn't. Johan, Pelfrey, Ollie and Maine have all looked real sharp this year, as has Wagner in the back end of the pen. As for the hitting, why Omar fired Rick Down last year is beyond me. The team was hitting fine until his departure, than went up shit creek after HoJo was brought in.

i would say the pitching is up and down more than it is sharp and aaron heilman blows. olver perez is my fav. pitcher on the mets but he either rocks or misses location by a mile... pelfrey is going to be a great pitcher but you rely on good hitting when he is on mound right now(except for his near no hitter). billy wagner rocks on the mound... i wish all our players had his on field mentality.
