The NBC coverage rules suck. Ridiculous that there is no option to watch the match live.

I'll be rooting for Federer to break the record, but I hope it's a 5 set classic. 3 set wipeouts are boring.

With that said, unless Roddick serves perfectly as he did today....it will be a wipeout.

I think Roddick will get one set and maybe force a tiebreaker in another one. I don't see it going to 5 though.

I wanted him to make it to the semis. I wanted Murray to beat him today and since he let me down, I want Federer to beat him Sunday.

Roddick is hotter than Federer so I'm hopping Roddick wins.

Glad I didn't give in and look at the outcome of the match. Watched the whole thing and it was great, Roddick played pretty darn good. I think he'll put up a fight against Federer on Sunday and hopefully deny Roger #15.

I watched all of it too and Roddick played really well. I didn't think he would get past Murray, and I still don't like his chances against Federer; he is 0-3 against Federer at Wimbeldon.

That's what I see happening. He swatted away returns against Karlovic, so I don't have much hope for Roddick. Despite the "improved" backhand.

Really? No posts in here today? This will go down as one of the greatest matches ever played.

Poor Roddick, but you have to play perfectly to beat Federer. And he very nearly did, save for a blown volley in the second set tiebreak. He's got to be kicking himself over that.

Epic match. I have a whole new respect for Roddick. He really didn't let anything phase him the entire tournament. 3 years ago, not only would Roddick have crumbled after blowing 4-set points in the 2nd, he wouldn't have been able to stand out there for 4 hours. Federer just finds a way to gut it out and win. Really, he wasn't threatened at all on his serve in the 5th set. He just stays in control and plays his game.

Despite the unbelievable number of games, I do think the Nadal/Federer match in '08 remains the best match I have ever seen. This year it was just so dominated by serves with few break point opportunities. With Federer down 2 sets last year, and a match point in the 4th...and then major drama and twice as many break point opportunities as this year (along with 2 rain delays) I think that was the best. But this is a close 2nd.

Wow. Going to suck the next few months until the US Open starts.

Roddick took Federer to break points several times in the 5th set but Roger always came up with a few huge serves in a row.

Really? I like this time of the summer. Lots of tournaments in the US. And everyone has to show up for Canada & Cincinnati Masters. You can get a preview of who's is playing well going in to the US Open. On the flip side, it also creates a lot of hype.

Roddick had only 2 break points the entire 5th set. 2 break points in 15 Federer service games. Heck, Roddick only won 16 total points on Feder's serve the entire 5th set. Do the math, Federer completely dominated on serve in that set. (Actually Federer dominated on serve the entire match. Fed won 68 points on Roddicks serve, Roddick only won 42 points on Federers serve)

eh, I like the 24/7 coverage of the majors and what's at at stake. I'm currently unemployed, so it was a great distraction having the 4 weeks of the French Open and Wimbledon.

It seemed like Roddick had more than two break points I guess then.

Roddick still deserved to win the match, he had Federer running everywhere and looked like the better player the entire match. Too bad Federer somehow managed to squeak on a win.

Roddick certainly looked better the first 2 sets (and 3 out of first 4). But at least after about 10-10 in the 5th, Federer seemed to be holding many serves at love, while Roddick was taken to a few deuces and 30-alls.

No doubt Roddick played brilliantly, but Federer did too....they both deserved to win. Unfortunately, that ain't possible.

Sorry to hear that. I used to watch all day as a kid, then I had to grow up. Good memories of watching Courier, Sampras, Agassi, Becker, Edberg, Graf, Seles, etc at the tennis club with all the other tennis kids.

ESPN2 & Tennis Channel are doing a much better job with the US Open. If you don't want to hear Sharapova scream through a match, switch over to Tennis Channel. What does everyone think so far? Nadal looked good in his 1st round. On the other hand, when is Gasquet going to have a result to back up his potential?
