I enjoyed those 4 seasons over the course of like 2 hours. Was really cool to see how each beer changed over time. What an experience.

Christ. I opened a Lagunitas 'Little Sumpin Sumpin Ale'. I thought it somewhat pleasing, drank it pretty steady, looked and it is 7.5%. Interesting.

I got one from this same store for around that price on the day they were distributed. I didn't reserve any. Just asked and he said "I guess I can sell you one bottle". Made it sound like he had limited supply. I saw at least 7 bottles displayed today with the 11 dollar price tag. Bet he had even more.

yeah, I'm sure he got a few cases. it usually depends on how much founders you sell.

the local hannafords (supermarkets) got a bunch of it and had it on display for $20.99/4pk

I fail to see any problem with that? My favorite beer, arguably, is Fat Heads Head Hunter. It's 7.5% and I'll go through a 4 pack in an evening....mostly because I can't stop drinking it

    It got me good!

So I was looking to find other beers similar and it looks like there is nothing else really like it. If I understand correctly, it is like a hybrid wheat/IPA. What should I try next?

I killed a 4 pack of Lizard King at 16 oz and 6% solo the other night. I drink full bombers of 8-10% all the time. You get used to the higher ABVs for sure.

I doubt, in this day and age, that the wheat IPA is rare concept. Gumballhead by FFF is a wheat pale ale and I recently drank a Wheat double IPA from Other Half.

I was trying to get down to Local in SoNo but got bogged down in work. You referring to the Cask in Norwalk? I know there's one in Stamford and one in New Haven as well. Local consistently has great tap takeovers, their old bartender John was a great dude who knew a shit ton about beer and was always getting rare(r) stuff in.
