Maybe it's just me, but it seems like they did more instrumental preludes to the opening song 10 years ago. Now they just play the opener. I always liked the preludes

the only reason i might believe it was a reference to cocain is because on the Sirius radio interview Dave said that the lady who was driving him somewhere told him a story about finding two dead boys by the side of the road who had been killed about a drug deal. however, in Louisiana, if you say "cane" everyone immediately thinks you are refering to sugar cane...

I have to say that seeing people bundled up at the Gorge last night made me slightly less upset about missing it this year. Slightly.

Never worn long sleeves to a DMB concert and I like it that way.

I just recently listened to Live At Piedmont Park and immensely enjoyed it. In fact I enjoy all the released '07 shows we've gotten. I'm still waiting for when they release 10/02/07 as a LT.

I know from around 01-07 or so, it was overplayed as fuck. I hated it with a passion back then from seeing it live so much. Not a bad song but certainly not something I'd go into a show hoping to hear.

Butch should never have left to be replaced by Tim as a touring member. Squirm is pretty badass (just not as an opener). Might not be an unpopular opinion, but I always thought they should have let Stefan play electric on Hunger back in 05 even though I can't stand that song.

I don't like the early DMB sound. Dave's voice is too high pitched, 04-present with raspy Dave is much better. I won't buy any dmblive or live trax pre 1998.

I agree with you 100%. I love the sound of the band from the early days, but Dave makes it hard to listen to for me

They did release a full-band winter '98 show in the DMBLive series, up your alley.
