What Happened to this Band?

Deer Creek was amazing and they played amazingly!The only thing that has me going WTF? this year is the fact they have played one tour TD since Alpine (Black and Blue Bird this last weekend). Correct me if I am wrong.

I also think you probably overestimate how much this was brought to Dave's attention. And when it did, it got a tease.

Also, I wouldn't have a clue what Eddie Vedder thinks of his fans. I'm sure if something's broke, he'd probably put a little fixin' on it. Or if something's gone, he'd probably fight to get it back again. Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah.

There have been numerous signs for it throughout the summer. People have met band members wearing the shirts.

I would trust that with a campaign started by Jake, he knows who to talk to to get the word to Dave.

Dave played Let You Down the day of hearing about it last year. Are you really trying to insinuate these guys arent talented enough to practice it a few times and try it out on stage? Even if that was the case, Dave could at least play it solo E1.


And at that tease. A nearly inaudible on tape tease that even in that sense barely sounds like the song shouldnt really count as a tease.

I'm sure they could. They could probably put together a respectable version of most any song asked of them.

But if you're hitching your flag to the "Dave only loves me if he plays X song" wagon, perhaps pick a song that the band has played even one time.

And if you're argument is "There was a huge campaign from fans to hear this song!" figure out how your massive campaign is going to actually make an impact and get noticed by those that need to. If it's one jerk who waved a Dave's bus while it drove by wore a dodo shirt, and Dave looked pretty grumpy, if I must say (another sign he hates fans. Why didn't he stop and buy everyone beers and go to their car to play cornhole?), then maybe your campaign wasn't as successful as you thought.

I don't know. I read some of the Alpine thread. They confirmed you could totally hear it and it was a special nod to them, the true fans.

There was a picture I believe on the bands Instagram from late last year. I think it was during the overseas tour with Dave practicing on guitar with the lyrics of Dodo clearly visible. The caption was something along the lines of "remembering Dodo" or "practicing Dodo." So Dave clearly has heard rumblings about it or at least had a slight thought about bringing it around. But, like in so many cases, it never saw the light of day.

For Following Them non stop since 2002 there has been some drastic changes in the band. The most important one being the death of Leroi. They have not been the same since but i still love them and still go to as many shows as i can. Some set lists are disappointing, but i always make my run to Spac to get my fix. This year at Saratoga (or any other past years) you can tell they were full of energy and ready to deliver. They did incredible both nights. Some mid week stops they seem to be going through the motions but hey wouldn't you after doing the same thing for 25 years? They Are Human. Also the DMB Hub app can also make you sick of the band with the song by song updates of live shows. Now Playing : Jimi Thing (LOL). I always go back and listen to many shows from the past that are amazing and all, but i do not dream in my mind they will ever play sets like that again or sound like that ever again. Saratoga this year was perfect for me set list wise. I set my bar high for places like Spac Gorge Alpine & Camden but anywhere else on i will take whatever they play. I was on such a high after Spac but then realized there is no DMB at Spac or anywhere next year. Very disappointing. Enjoy them while they are still here and playing. That is all.......

If I went into a forum dedicated to my industry, identified myself as an employee of my company, and then spoke as brash as you do here...I'd have a lot of questions to answer from my leadership.

That's why I ask. I'm curious if your employer has any idea you're here saying the things you do, because you certainly make them look bad.

I don't know that you are tied to DMB / The Warehouse for sure, but the fact that you never deny it and just support the band regardless of the topic obviously makes it look like you do. Since you don't look at anything objectively it's kind of hard to take anything you say seriously.
