I believe someone messed up and let it out of the bag that Dave and Tim are going to be playing Neil Young's Bridge School Benefit up in the Bay Area in October of this year. I thought I'd let y'all know. Neil always comprises a great line-up for these and I would expect nothing less this year. If you get the chance, try to go, it's well worth the time.

Don't they usually play this gig? Its about 2 months out at this point, don't know how big of a mess up that could really be.

Neil likes to make the announcement, that's all. It's Oct 22-23. Last time they played it was 5 years ago. I was lucky enough to have been there.

Curious as to who said they'd be there? TR3 has scheduled shows both the 22nd and 23rd. I know he's worked around Matthews stuff before but his TR3 tour was just announced recently

Look at TR3's schedule now. No shows Oct 22-24.

They had shows on 10/22 and 10/23 in Evanston and St Louis that were just removed from their schedule.

He's scheduled to play SPACE in Evanston IL the 22nd and the Old Rock House in St Louis the 23rd

They had to pull Tim out of those dates for the Bridge School. Those dates will be rescheduled.

I went to Bridge School the last time D&T played in 2011. It's such an amazing time and it's fun to see everyone playing all acoustic.

It's the 30th anniversary, so I'm pretty sure all of Neil's buddies will attend — D&T, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Beck.

I'm optimistic that the non-Neil headliner will be Temple of the Dog since it's around the time of year that tour is happening anyway.

I'd also like to see him bring back Bruuuuuuce since he was at the very first BSB in 86.

The 25th in 2011 had Dave & Tim, Eddie Vedder, Neil Young, Foo Fighters, Arcade Fire, Beck, Tony Bennett, Mumford & Sons, Santana, and Norah Jones. If they get anywhere close to that for the 30th this year, it will be unreal.
