Hello all, I thought that on the eighth anniversary of LeRoi's passing I would repost the link to the biography written for my doctoral dissertation. It's hard to believe it's been nearly a decade since he left us. I thought it was important that his achievements be a part of academic record. In his memory I devoted the last two years to three projects in an effort to honor his contributions to American music - a recital, a lecture, and a biography. It was my way of honoring a musician who changed my life a great deal.

Great job, I truly enjoyed watching that. I don't think people realize how amazing he truly was. Coffin is great, but it's like he doesn't speak thru his music the way Roi did if that makes any sense.
