For me, it's on the same tier as What You Are. I'd very much enjoy either live, but I'm not wishing to myself for them whenever I catch a show.

Worst DMB show I've been to was the '07 tour opener in Mansfield, this release looks decent and Rapunzel sounds good but I'll probably hold off

Was at this show and I distinctly remember what a buzz kill it was opening with ADSR. Almost as bad as when I caught Sweet opener in Atlanta. It really sounds great on this release but live as an opener it just doesn't work. This release sounds awesome. Really love the mix of this show. As I listened to it it made me think how different the band is with Tim. I love Tim but I also love being able to hear Dave's guitar without Tim playing over it.

Also, really liked Loving Wings, Carters percussion is fantastic, the ending to Sweet Up and Down, a great jamming Crush and lots of good Roi on this. Pretty solid show, but don't really care for IIHIA, simply because the lovely ladies ruined that song for me when they started singing, "If I, If I, If I had it all" over and over. The Shotgun is chill and solid. The sound on this cd is simply great.</div>

<!-- END TEMPLATE: bbcode_quote -->Do you mean the Lovely Ladies generally ruined IIHIA for you, or on this release? They aren't on this release. That's Carter and Rashawn.
I know that was Carter and Rashawn, just mentioning the LL ruined it for me when they sing it

I like ADSR as an opener, always have. It's a bold move to open with one of their mellowest songs ever. But the song is rich and musically demands your attention. To be fair, there's really not a great place for it anywhere in a set except maybe the E1 slot - but a good E1 is usually something a bit less involved, maybe Dave solo, before a big finish. ADSR is not in DMB's top 10 openers, but I like it. Love the way it transitioned into Two Step on 10/2/07.

It really is. I would be happy to see it at a show, but the amount of attention it gets just doesn't feel warranted in my opinion. It's a cool guitar riff, but it doesn't really go anywhere.

Completely agree. I'd love to see it at a show but I can't listen to it more than a few times without being bored of it. Great tune though.

I will jump on the overrated bandwagon. I had never really heard a clean version of Shotgun until getting this release, and it didn't blow me away.

Shotgun came in 2006, after we endured the Stand Up songs and questioned Dave's writing ability. Much in the same way the 2004 songs gave us hope after Everyday (Busted Stuff doesn't really count since it was written before ED), songs like Shotgun, Idea of You and Break Free were really inspiring in 2006.

I agree. while I enjoyed stand Up, and even more so when they fleshed the tunes out in a live setting, the songs in 2006 were a home run. They felt more like DMB songs. Shotgun definitely had the most "Dave-esque" sounding guitar riff, which really got me excited to hear him writing in that signature style, but I just never felt like the song developed into much.

who is the "us" in this post

2004 songs were the first sign that the best you were gonna be able to hope for into eternity from DMB as far as new material is concerned is "hmm not bad"

I think the 04/06 songs go really well with the 15/16 songs. I compiled an "album" with them and I like the flow.

Love the sound on this LT42, but having gone to both WPB shows that year, they dropped the ball a bit by going with the Friday night show instead of the Saturday night show. That LIOG on Saturday was the best i've ever heard.

LT8 is one of my most listened to shows, and that's because of the mix, hello again, crazy easy and sugar will. joy ride is what it is, not as eye popping as crazy easy, but still a good song in my opinion. 04 songs were really good.

That would have been amazing. But I'm surprised they would even want to take those old songs into the studio at that point.

It was such a downer for me when shows would close with WYA. I remember how refreshing it was to surprisingly see it mid-set at Red Rocks.

I've always thought the song was fine, but I've never thought it was anywhere near set- or show-closing material.

Its real awesome to close a show with WYA > something better. Really nice 1 2 punch to close the show, and I always enjoy WYA

I remember it felt like WYA was closing damn near every show I saw around 02-04, it was brutal.
