Planning Gorge 2014 - Need your input

Hi everyone, I'm a long time DMB fan (circa UTTAD) and am planning to attend the mecca of Dave concerts, the Gorge, next year taking for granted it happens again in 2014 like it did in the past. I would really appreciate your feedback on the following points and any other logistics related points that might be relevant:
-Tickets: I am a warehouse member, but may require up to 4 tickets. I am flexible in terms of cost, so I would shoot for reserved seats, possibly box seats. Can I expect that these will be available at the time of public sale or is the warehouse lottery my only chance? How many reserved seats are there at the amphitheater?
-Gorge Campgrounds: Is the premier camping option worth it? it sounds good. The official site is a bit vague, but seems to mention that water and electrical services are not available at the campgrounds themselves (that's what No Hookups means, right?) I also see that you can't camp there without a concert ticket. does that mean that any DMB Gorge tickets also include a camping spot and that a spot can't be reserved independantly? Also, how would I upgrade to premier camping?

Fellow fans, I really appreciate your input and thank you for it in advance.

I am planning a 7000 mile trip from England talk about question time how can I pencil in a week in New York previous?, flights to New York from UK, flights to Seattle from New York, flights back to UK from Seattle on the Monday after the weekend shows. Car Rental at Seattle, hotel accommodation in 2 cities, camping at the Gorge whos going to look after my kids at home when me and the wife come to town, what baggage should we take, will I definitely get tickets as a warehouse member, will I get tickets sent to England or pick up from venue? and finally when do tour dates usually get released I see February as a tradition.

not sure about 4 reserved being available. I think my group has committed to lawn for FOR-EV-ER now after last year, so I can't help ya there.

you didnt mention any other options besides premier so I am assuming your other option is 'regular camping' aka D9. If you can afford the extra 100, it's not even a question. premier is where it's at. the fun of D9, but you get to come back to clean, (mostly) disease free camping. and no rioting.

you CAN camp without a concert ticket. camping tickets are completely separate from concert tickets. There are NO hookups in regular or premier camping. I think Terrace has hookups, but there is clean water/faucets and toilets and showers in premier that are cleaned twice a day. D9, well, good luck.

Guys, the info bouncing around here got me thinking: can I get a ballpark figure on ticket prices? how much does a reserved seat ticket go for for the whole weekend? how about box seat tickets? and what about the camping upgrades such as premier or "glamping"? Also can I expect any availability of tickets at the public sale or will they all be gone already? (for general admission, reserved seating and box seats). thanks again for the info!

    premier is 160 is believe

reserved seats are 89.70 or thereabouts per night, this year they had a 3 day lawn pass for 140. which I'd highly recommend.

the seats generally hang around for a while, especially the ones on the sides, so you shouldn't have a problem snagging what you're after. it's a big place.

Same thing I tell all first timers.... DON'T CAMP IN GENERAL CAMPING!!!!

Other than that beer, herbs, food and a positive attitude is all that's required. Oh and tickets.

while I didn't come from UK I did the same thing this summer. two cities, multiple hotels, multiple concert venues camping, car rentals... it's a lot to think of but it's amazing when you do it. if you have any questions drop me a line.

Word from Washington State officials is that you will be able to purchase said oregano from a legal retail outlet in the state come next summer.

    stay at Wildhorse.

Wait on getting tickets...tons hit the boards and lots of Ticketmaster drops. You'll get 4 tickets together...probably 4 great ones if you wait on it.

Being as how we made our first trip this year, I'm certainly not a "Gorge vet" but I can tell you that MadPiker is right - Premier is where it was AT. It seems like Wildhorse people always have a good time but they have to take a shuttle back and forth between the venue and camp and we just walk the trail of tears to/from venue and campsite.

The Gorge was one of those "one-time" bucket list trips that after we've done once will be a regular trip from here on out. It was too incredible. Between the people, camping, nature, and three nights of DMB - just totally incredible.

Get lawn seats at least one night for the experience and the view. Personally, I think Pit one night and lawn two nights is the way to go. I've never actually been checked for a concert ticket while camping, but that supposedly is a rule. Premier is definitely worth the extra $$. Terrace has a little better view and more space, but I haven't camped there so I don't know if it is worth it.

This. We did three day lawn pack this year and I think now and forever.

No need for pit unless you REALLY want to be as close to the band as possible. The sound out on the Gorge lawn was incredible.

Wildhorse campers are snobs cuz they always say they will come visit, but they never do. Isn't that right Andrew?

I'd say you ARE a "Gorge Vet" now, Austin. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.....unless you are in PREMIER!!

As far as Pit/Pav/Lawn...I've done em all and you will be happy with lawn. only benifit for Pit is muffled sound and awesome views.

We started off on the lawn Friday and Sunday and made our way down to the pit during the shows. Yes, the views are phenomenal, but I'm not a fan of standing at a 45 degree angle for 3 hours.
