I've seen some shows with bad crowds but if the bands you are watching are good and you get close enough to not have to listen to people talk I don't see how a douchey crowd could make you have a "miserable experience"

The only show I can think of that was legitimately ruined by the crowd was a John Mayer show i saw in 2007 and it was because my seats were so bad I couldn't hear anything because i was so far away and everyone around me was just talking. Had I been closer to the speakers I bet that show, with the douchey crowd, would have been at least enjoyable.

    I'm making it sound far worse then it really is to make me feel better about paying that much money to go out there. Don't get me wrong I feel like I saw was one of the best lineups as well.

    But it's not like any other festival when it comes to camaraderie. There is no atmosphere in the campgrounds, every one basically leaves after the show in town cars and those ppl during the day are more worried about letting ppl know there at coachella then investing time to check out new bands. There's a large schism between regular tickets and VIP. And these assholes get the best view spots and literally just hang out all day in tents. If your looking for a festival setting it doesn't really cut it as bonnaroo or hangout would. If your in the incrowd, I bet it's amazing, though I assume I would need to be jaded by everything.

    Somehow, I got in 3 minutes before 10:00 and scored a weekend 1+camping!!!! But I just realized that I'm going to be in Vegas till the thursday before...hmmmm what to do...

    Lineup is meh......like Bo I got a free place to stay that is almost walking distance, but won't be going back this year.
