Couldn't go even if I wanted to, which I don't. Night 2 definitely looks the best though. Still, pretty underwhelming if you ask me.

I'm actually digging the lineup this year. Saturday is fucking insane! I think I'm purchasing for the the first weekend.

I'm not their biggest fan, especially their most recent album, but they but on a spectacular show.

Are they the right choice to headline Coachella when you've got a reunited OutKast and Arcade Fire hot on the heels of a new album? Probably not.

For the most part, I think the lineup looks a little thin. Saturday looks the best.

I was actually posing a serious question. I never hear anything about these guys anymore and the last time I heard them mentioned was when they were on the Twilight soundtrack.

I guess it's a decent question. They are definitely bigger outside the US. They are internationally huge.

With that being said, they have no problem selling out arena shows in the states. They sold out 3 Staples Center shows in LA very quickly.

And their live shows are absolutely amazing. One of the best out there these days.

That I don't doubt, although I haven't seen them live since 2001. Not hating, just not sure about their demographic. All I'm saying is there has to be more relevant bands out there who put on just as good of a live show to headline arguably the biggest festival in the states. But I do live on the Southeast coast, so who and what is popular in California is likely different.

Usually the Saturday show is the weakest, but not so this year - probably has to do with thefact everything is sell out, so they don't have to worry about Friday & Sunday sales

I do kind of wish they sold daily passes like they used to. I could buy for Friday and Saturday and thats it.

Headliners suck and should be further down the list under some others.

To me, Coachella is a better experience if the bands "further down the list" are the ones you see the most, and you have little interest in the headliners.

If by going you mean watching the webcast, then yes I will be going.

(assuming they live stream it again)

Anyone headed to weekend 2?? This will be my first time trying the "encore" weekend and the first time I'll be going solo without my regular fest buddies. Trying to camp and do everything all on my own this year. Should be quite the adventure!

I'll shall be there. 4th year in a row for me. Coachella is easily the best weekend of the year every year. Between the atmosphere, natural setting and quality of music it's easily the best fest in the States.

I don't know why people are so pumped up about OutKast. You'll be lucky if those fuckers play even a 60 minute set. Those dudes are basically a 3 hit wonder that only reunited because they both need money because their solo shit has failed commercially. Those dudes haven't performed together in years and they were never known as being an amazing live band. I think most people are going to be really disappointed when OutKast drops a 13 song "headlining" set at Coachella.

While I get Outkast may not be for everyone, they are far from a 3 hit wonder. I could name a 60 minute set from them that didn't include any singles and would still love it.

Maybe I'm not most people, but everyone in my 30+ person group is beyond excited for them.

Sounds good! I'm already struggling with these potential conflicts. I hate making the hard decisions; I'm a big fan of the lineup this year. Saturday especially is giving me fits. I just know Nas is going to conflict with someone else I really want to see but the opportunity to see Illmatic in full is too amazing to miss.

There is so much about this post that is insanely wrong that I don't even know where to start.

3 hit wonders? Do you mean per album?

Reunited because they need money? You realize Andre is playing Jimi Hendrix in a new biopic, correct? It's not like they are touring the liberal college scene a la Nappy Roots.

Not known as an amazing performers? They are one of the best live hip hop acts around (it's just the two of them, not 15 guys with mics)
