The live stream of their recent Red Rocks concert is on YouTube in full:

Also, if you didn't see it earlier in the summer:

These guys are definitely towards the top of my concert bucket list at the moment. So good. Hope I'll get the chance to see them soon.

Seeing them tomorrow night - really, really excited.

I'll be honest, I never realized how extensive their catalog was until recently. I don't think I heard the album It Still Moves until a couple weeks ago and now I'm obsessed. What are the highlights of the older albums?

It Still Moves gets a LOT of play at shows still. Mahgeetah, Dancefloors, Golden, Steam Engine and obviously One Big Holiday are all staples while Master Plan, Easy Morning Rebel, Run Thru and I Will Sing You Songs all get rotated in fairly often as well. Phone Went West, The Way that he sings, Lowdown, Xmas Curtain, War Begun are all fairly common to hear from the early material as well. Although honestly, if you are going to 1 night of a 4 night stand, it's somewhat a crapshoot as to what tunes you will actually hear, since they are hopefully going to go no repeats all 4 nights.

I meant more which of the older albums do people still enjoy, not worried about what they will play. I'm sure it'll be awesome either way.

I think It Still Moves and Z are the best.

Z was the album that got me to like them, I'm a huge fan of the new album. Could easily see It Still Moves being my favorite by year end.

To draw a weird parallel, I feel like Dondante is their Two Step — it keeps growing and changing with age and there's no real bad version of it.

These guys are on fire. Very jealous of those who got to see them at Boston and those who are seeing them at the Beacon. Playing 4 shows at the Beacon, no repeats..and night 1 was unbelievable. You don't see this much from current bands with extensive catalogs.

There's one band who does it particuarly well, every tour. That's neither here nor there.

Show last night was so good. Debating going again tonight, tickets so cheap on the hub.

Saw two nights of their Beacon run, this band has hit a new stratosphere. Nice changes to classics, they have the confidence to mix in old with their new, and they have such a great feel for what their fans want.

Saw this stat that blew me away:
    • Total songs played - 89
    • Song repeats - 0

Not many bands deliver highly anticipated shows like MMJ does.

They announced that they weren't allowing any taping of the run and I guess security was very strict about cutting people off from even phone recordings (or so my brother says) so that gives me the promise of an official release.

Good to know. Let's cross our fingers it's a box set and not a single cd best of the week type ordeal with 8 songs lol

Can confirm, I was pretty close on Tuesday and security kept asking people who were obviously taking video to stop. Not all of them, but many of them.

It would be an amazing box set, well worth a release.

Some people were speculating a video release too. But, having been to D&T Radio City, I saw nothing that would indicate they were taping a video. Given there are no screens there, I didn't see one person with a video camera.

All I'd like is the audio. Video would be cool though but that's always more noticeable. I know one show was scheduled to be taped by one fantastic taper but his turn around is a few days.

Yeah I really hope we get every note of all 4 nights. Being condensed into a commercial release would be very frustrating to me. If they want to do that, I hope they do something like DMB did with Red Rocks 05 or the Gorge, with a compilation version but also a complete run version.

It'd be so good to turn on new fans if everyone is saying it's as good of a residency as it was. I mean I'm still considered a newbie but to have the current MMJ sound and inspirations jamming out all their material....sounds pretty special.
