im glad i checked them out. z is one of my favorite albums of the year, probably my second or third favorite. im just loving lay low and don dante.

I'd start with OKONOKOS, their live album. Has a good mix of Pre Evil Urges songs and it kicks some ass.

immerse yourself in the magic that is my morning jacket. it's as delicate as velvet and as destructive as a bulldozer. music made from the heart. all of it is good. every album. just don't start with the early b-side novelty shit, get the main albums and observe the progression.

As far as I'm concerned, this is basically true, but their studio stuff is basically all near perfect, with the exception of their most recent one (IMHO, of course.). And even that one improves a lot live.
