Coworker is going to Maine tomorrow and there's a Dinner release. Hoping to get my hands on one - will be a first. Crazy thing is that they open the release at 7:00a and allow people to start lining up at like 3 or 4 in the morning.

Doesn't sound crazy at all. Sounds absolutely normal for a special release. I wish I was kidding.

I'm never doing a dinner release again. very good beer, but not close to my favorite.

at 4am your buddy was probably #100 or so in line right? I saw they still had around 200 cases at 10am

Checked out Outer Banks Brewing Company while in the OBX last week. Great food and decent beer, definitely worth the trip.

Got a cool souvenir beer glass as well. Would recommend to anyone vacationing down there. Will be back next year.

My dad called Steel Reserce 211 "911" by accident. To be fair, drinking that is like a terrorist attack on your system.

Will be my first time having it... but not sure I'd justify waiting in line at 4am for any beer! My hour wait at Alchemist was enough. Tree House runs a tight ship - in an out in 15-20 minutes and easily 80 people deep.

I haven't talked to my buddy in Maine yet - hoping he got it though!

Heading to Portland tomorrow. Hoping to get my hands on substance. You want some if I score a case?

Got to try NEBC Supernaut on Friday night. Top 3 beer I've ever had. For as much hype as G-Bot gets, you think it'd be NEBC's best beer but Supernaut is decidedly better to me. Maybe it's because I'm spoiled and G-Bot is fairly easy to come by at local bars, but Supernaut knocked my socks off. Right up there with Captain's Daughter for me.

damn! I haven't seen any this year. I like to let it mellow out for a year. I'm sure if I searched around in ME I could get some. if you happen to see it can you let me know?

I'll keep an eye out. Might be going up to OOB on Saturday so I'll see if I can find a bottle shop nearby.

I'm heading up to Poland Springs for a wedding this weekend and a couple of weeks ago I asked someone who lives in Freeport who is also going to the wedding if he could pick me up some Lunch or something.
He said he doesn't go anywhere near that place because of the crowds

On the other end of the spectrum I was in line at Trillium for a Hundred Thousand Trillion release and there was a guy there that was at Maine beer company that morning for a Dinner release

on a normal day, I don't think MBC gets overly crowded. every time I've been there for a non-dinner release they've been steady, but not busy to the point where you can't get in and out in 10 min

The only other time I saw it really crowded was when they didn't have lunch for a month and released some fresh bottles.

Yeah, MBC is not crowded at all on a normal day. Even a weekend day.

Boom Sauce is in good supply at my local shop, grabbed a four-pack of 16ozers.

Also tried New Frontier Double California IPA from Pioneer Beer Co this past weekend. It's an 11%er, so it packed a punch, but it was very boozy for my tastes. Still got me a solid buzz off three of those badboys, though!

    Definitely worth the 30 minutes...

Pretty sure they keep all of their beer cold too so take a cooler.

    Re: Favorite beer of choice?

I can't get into Boom Sauce. I think it has an ingredient I'm allergic to. I enjoy Lord Hobo's DIPA (consolation Prize?) but there's something about boom sauce that I can't handle.

Drank some double jack last night.
