I was thinking we could POSSIBLY see something from 94 with maybe a DVD last night. Maybe the 94 video of Billies was some sort of indication of this? I may be way off, but my hopes for a DMB DVD from the old days are still there. They have to have so much footage over the years.

I won't be unhappy with 2014. I'm just dying for another DVD though. That was such a great release. But with all the footage they have of the band I don't see why not release a DVD Live Trax with Roi. Release it as a Live Trax so it's for the hardcore fanbase.

I think it's extremely unlikely that a 2014 show will be the holiday release.

With the random choice that was LT31 (albeit a pretty solid choice), I don't think anything is likely or unlikely with the Trax series. Management tends to bounce around at random, IMO.

It would be reasonable to expect a 2014 release by the holiday, but I don't know if anything is necessarily likely.

I feel like since 2012, they're starting a trend where they put out special/unique/heavily requested shows in December. For example, in 2012 the released LT 23 and 24, and last year we got CVille 2010, plus the DVDS. I think they're going to put more effort into the next release as opposed to just picking a show from this year.

Good point. But with that being said the way this tour was heavily advertised I think they are going to try to keep it going by releasing a show from 2014. #DMB2Sets is special/unique. I fully expect a 2014 release for the next LT.

If the do release a 2014 show, the only one I'm really interested in would be Bristow...solud acoustic set, shake me early and out of the way, r&r, ynk, drunken solider, no ladies, no jimi and halloween of course..im still pissed i cancelled goin to that show because Camden n2 and spac n2 were so disappointing and set list watching wasn't lookin good leading up to the show

If you think they're going to release a 2014 show without the Ladies, then I think you are sadly mistaken. If they're releasing a 2014 show those ladies will absolutely be on it. They're goin to want to celebrate their return I'm sure. I could see Mansfield getting a release since that was the Ladies' first show, had some cool improvs too. I was there so I'd be cool with that, but there will definitely be a Ladies Live Trax if it's 2014. Count on it.

Any day or week according to the history of releases? I'd love to open up an email tomorrow announcing a new live trax. I don't know why, but my anticipation is really up on this one. However with the way they've been with such random releases and mixing things up I'm afraid they're going to release a Dave and Friends show. I know some would love that but I didn't think that band was very good. Not very tight and played crappy covers. But I have a gut feeling we're going to get something like that.

Anyone else think we're just not getting another one this year? I think the big announcement was UTTAD re-release in it's various expensive forms. They want us all to buy it. I think we'll have to wait til spring of 2015 for any new official live release from this band.

Side rant....

I cannot justify spending 40 dollars on the UTTAD vinyl! and what incentive is there to buy the CD or download? It's not like an album from the 70's that lost something in the digital transfer to CD when it's intent was to be listened to on vinyl. UTTAD was intended to be on CD! This is just a money grab by management. No reason to charge anymore for the vinyl than any other album they've released. I would pay low 20s for it. I think 17 is fair. And I don't like that the tracks are all broken up. Why not just One LP? The flow of that album is so good and this will just mess it all up for me. The best part of UTTAD is putting it on at a party, bbq, camping or cleaning the house on a Saturday and just enjoying it. Having to switch sides 4 times is a pain in the ass.

If the next LT is a Summer '14 show, I'm gonna be a little disappointed to be honest. Nothing from this year JUMPS out at me as being release-worthy, as does Camden N2 from 2013 for example.

A 2014 sampler/compilation would be the best way of representing this past tour. Put Stay w/ the LLs on it and Snow Outside w/ Bela and we're all good.


Would really love an '04 or '02 LT next. How has there not been an '02 LT yet?!

We will get a new release this year. They won't pass on a holiday release. May be a Live Trax, may be an official release (hopefully DT Nola), but something is coming.

They've been testing a new page/section at the official store, it's been going on and offline the past few days - so perhaps that's for the new Live Trax. I can't imagine what else would warrant a new section in the side bar.

No real logical reason other than they've been mixing things up quite a bit. There were the 2 Dave and Tim releases, Live Trax 28 with a DVD, Live Trax 30 which was a wicked old show and was a compilation of a couple shows, Live Trax 31 was such a random show from 2001 and then there was the bonus CD. I just feel like they're trying to keep things interesting by releasing these in new ways. So I don't think it's too far fetched to think we'd get a Dave and Friends show at some point.

I'm not a vinyl person so I'm with you on this. They really did nothing to add to the release to make it more interesting. Other than studio Granny there's nothing that excites me about this. If there was a studio Granny, full band studio Song That Jane Likes and maybe a studio full band Get In Line (not sure if they tried that during those sessions) plus other outtakes then I'd be pretty interested. But one studio track we've never heard with two acoustic versions of songs we've heard acoustic 1000 times is nothing that special. I have a feeling people are going to be fairly disappointed with the studio Granny too...man I'm not in a very optimistic mood today LOL
