If you're there to party, the lawn is fine. If you want to really absorb and enjoy the show, you gotta be in the pavilion. To me it's light years of difference, even if you're near the back of the pavilion. Alpine's pavilion is quite small in relation to the overall size of the venue. (I think about 4000 seats? Probably a bit more than that with the Pit.) So there aren't any of those "This damn seat is so far back I might as well be on the lawn...." type of seats that a lot of ampitheaters have (looking at you, Tinley Park.) I'd happily pay the difference in price for pavilion even if I knew I was going to be in row CCC.

Yeah I figured I did haha but unless it's insanely crazier to be down there I don't know if I'd trade the lawn. Problem is we have a group of 40+ that goes every year and finding that many seats down there might be a problem

Guess it comes down to do I trade sitting in the lawn with them for a night down in the pit or pavilion?

I always go with a decent size group of friends. I let them get their lawns and I get my lowers and I go up to say hi during pee songs.

Im in a similar situation every year and i took the plunge for seats once in 2010 and that's all it took. I was hook from there. If your really into the music is totally worth it to do one night with seats and one with the big group in the lawn.

Couldn't have said it better. I've done lawn plenty of times and had some excellent times, but pavilion is where it's at for me. I can always go meet folks in lawn if they're not a mile up hill.

One year I had row CCC to get rid of, right next to sound board. Had some better seats but no one would take the CCC's so I kept those and sold the better seats. No complaints. Much rather be last row of pavilion, walk in when I want and have a seat reserved for me.

For the most part...pavilion>lawn...however a couple years ago we were in 201with seat numbers in the 130's. The side sections with seats starting over 100 should almost be labeled limited view.

Biggest frustration for me with the Warehouse is not releasing your exact seat location. You could have section 201 row W, and they could be either perfect or terrible depending on seat #s.

Has the WH ever released seat #'s...or if you called would they give them out??

It took a little bit of wandering around to find them last year. But eventually I saw that Texas and OU flag flying high..... next to a dumpster

That's the worst part. And since the price tiers are based solely on row, you could end up with $85 lowers that are worse than $75 uppers. If you get say, lowers in 201 or 203, single or low double letters but seat #'s 80+ that's much worse than being in like NN, PP whatever with low seat #'s.

Long shot here...but any Chicago people...I'm looking for 2 Hawks tickets for 2/28 vs Washington. Trying to go with my boss before he leaves for North Carolina and not trying to pay 5x face value. It's insane how much these tickets are!

Problem was we were like the very first people there (yes, EAGER tailgaters!!)

Which put is in the very front.

Next to the row of dumpsters.

If we are going to be the first people there, the yellow or blue lot should suffice since we will be in the first few rows.

All depends if we can herd the cats I suppose.

they'll drop confirms as they're heading out the door tonight, so they don't have to deal with the shitstorm until they come back to work on tuesday, since monday is a holiday
