Re: Favorite beer of choice?

Just got back from trillium. I like the canton location. Great beer, but so expensive. $15+ for a 4pk and then they want you to tip them 15-20%

Might be a stupid question, but are trillium cans available pretty much all the time? Going to a wedding in Cape Cod next fall, and may fly into Boston solely to hit Trillium if worth it.

If you're headed to the cape, hit Devil's Purse. They make top notch stuff they're just kinda small so no distribution

I'd go to canton if you have an extra few minutes. Free parking and a nice tasting area

Chilling for Monday consumption is this new brew from Stone:

Monday night can't come soon enough.
Good choices! Gonna have to look out for that Stone.

Not much west coast action in this thread, but you have some great stuff in nor cal! Not crazy about Pliny personally, feel like the hype is 99% supply-driven. But had some great sours from Almanac (had their blueberry sour on the Columbia after the Gorge and wow what a great refreshing mid-day brew). Also a big fan of Lost Coast Great White. And, even though they are huge, Sierra Nevada's beers are all pretty solid. Sierra Nevada's Ruthless Rye is one of my favorite beers, yet for some reason they took it out of seasonal rotation a couple years ago.

Would love to try some of these East Coast recs, but we don't get many out here. Did stumble into Bell's Two Hearted and their Expedition Stout and both were solid. Big fan of the stout.

Very nice. I've only had a few NE style IPAs including DDH Fort Point, DDH Scaled, Julius, and Doppelganger.

Think I'm going to plan a trip out there next year in the summer sometime. There's a huge disc golf tour event at in Leicester every year so two birds one stone!

    Hit Trillium, Treehouse, etc.

If you can add an extra day to your trip I suggest heading to Maine or Vermont. Actually, just take an extra week

Oh, trust me. I plan on doing just that. If I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it up right. Would love to also hit up Alchemist, Hill Farmstead, Lawsons, Bissell Bros.

We will see just how many of those I would actually be able to hit though.

Actually have a can of Focal coming to me in the next few days. From a buddy who was just up there for a pro disc golf event. That along with a Stable IPA from fiddlehead, a collab beer with a pro disc golfer.

From what I understand, Lawsons doesn't have anything to visit. You just have to find it at a grocery store.

I would also suggest Burlington Beer Co and Foam Brewing (biggest surpise of our trip, its outstanding)

You know what, I literally JUST read that about Lawson's. Ha

And yes, good call on Foam and Burlington. I hear Foam is doing some great things. Watching people like Darwin on youtube helps keep me in the loop of the NE beer scene. Ha

Had some Nowhere in Particular Batch 002 and Batch 004 last night...really impressed with both. I think this is a newer brewery, and based on the two last night, they've got a shot at making it big. Weird thing is they are based out of dayton OH but their beers are brewed by FCB....strange.

Love that trillium's Boston location is a 15 min walk from my office. I've got a nice selection in my fridge at home

Just finished a beer swap with a guy in MN, I sent him a bunch of Boston area beers and he sent me these in return

Some really good stuff in there and others that are mediocre. I hope you enjoy! Abrasive is coming out soon, and if you ever want to do a MN/Trillium trade again I'd be glad to do so!
