Funny, but the conference began to die as soon as the Big East rejected Penn State by one vote in 1982. That mistake shifted the balance of power in that conference; it was never going to survive.

Can you explain the "shift in the balance of power" when they did not allow PSU entry?

Came in about halfway through. That was crazy. The stories from the parents were just awful to watch.

Yeah, that was difficult to watch. And they even did us a favor by blurring faces out, cutting away quickly. Was still very hard.

Honestly, if I hadn't known, or also read the opening credits, I wouldn't have noticed. He did a pretty good job.

I only got through a little over half of it last night, will watch the rest tonight. Great insight into some of the stuff that went on behind the scenes. Isiah's 16 in 94 seconds against the Knicks was amazing and I knew his game 6 against the Lakers was great too. I was only 5 when the Lakers beat them so didn't watch, but they got hosed on that call late in the game. I know people will say Bill got it for all the other stuff he's done but that doesn't change the fact that it wasn't a foul. You can tell even Worthy knew it wasn't a foul when he said "Yeah it was a foul...the ref called it." Also didn't know the Dantley shit going on behind the scenes.

I don't watch the NBA much at all anymore, but I sure hope the Pistons don't hire him to replace Dumars.

Most stars would be today. I didn't like Stern saying they should have dealt with it more. I think it's gone too far to the other side now.

The league is still very rough. They just cracked down on the stupidity.

Trying to knock down a 300lbs freak is a lot different than knocking down Bird and Jordan.

I dunno, I just see a lot more guys whining over stupid shit. The stuff that happened back then, which was too much at times, was something to complain about. A tap on the arm, is no reason to throw your arms up.

And to the second part, you are right. These guys are freaks of nature today compared to back then.

I think there is more whining, but that's basically universal in all sports.

Maybe the Pistons could have got to LeBron mentally like KG and Pierce do, but he'd rip Rodman's arm off if he tried to clothesline him.

You're probably right....to both. Laimbeer, Mahorn and Rodman were little fuckers. You could tell they rattled guys and then smile at you about it.
