yeah, everything now is stretch. Which I kinda like, but then again, I don't really wear jeans that NEED to stretch? I do still have a few pairs from '04-'05 too, A-Jo......the bottoms are getting all frayed

That's about when I would have bought the long and lean too. I'm also 5'8" without shoes and those jeans fit me perfectly.

Banana Republic jeans are super long, FYI. I bought regular length there and I have to wear 3" heels to keep them from dragging the floor. I've never even had to think about buying the "short" length, but if I don't want to wear heels with their jeans, I guess I'll need to!

Neither of those stores have been appealing to me in about 5 years.

I haven't tried AE jeans on in a long, long time...probably since high school! I didn't like them back then but it might be worth another try.

I don't think I could shop at Abercrombie without dying a little inside, so that's out. I just can't handle that store.

AE has changed a lot of their jean styles - she is also short though and I know the length was good for her too - I've found ONE pair of "Long" jeans in AE like EVER.

They're kinda pricey when not on sale ($80-100) but the ones I bought fit me absolutely perfectly...they're like a glove. They were $98 regular price but I think went down to $69 on sale.

I just checked the site to get the link but they don't have the same ones anymore. They are classic fit but I can't recall which leg opening they are...

Yeah, I'd likely need long. That's what I have to buy if I get Express jeans. They don't seem to carry many longs either. Annoying.

I very rarely pay full price for anything. Those were an exception.

But yeah...jeans can be ridiculously overly expensive!

Edit: I'm laughing at your edit.

Me either. But $70 for a pair of jeans is still relatively expensive. Oh well. I love clothes.

Me too. And yeah, that's still pretty pricey. Especially if they're jeans that you'll only wear when you're going out. (like these ones are, because they require me to wear 3" heels...not an errand running look! )

I have no idea, sorry. I'm sure it must, though. They probably got Baby Gap clothes in for fall and need to get rid of summer/early fall stuff!

Definitely not alone. Although, if you did have 5 heads, you could probably fit them in that big gap of extra space in the back of the jeans! Seriously, so annoying!

Yeah - A&F is the worst w/ the prices of jeans....i can't wear their jeans - they are always Way too huge in the hips - and i feel like I'm wearing men's jeans......I have about 6 pair of jeans that I wear on a regular basis...most from GAP, 1 from AE and one by Playboy.....these babies, I found at TJ Maxx in '04 and they are awesome...but they are a discontinued style also - AHHH! Have you all ever tried Victoria Secret jeans? They are cute in the mags - but I never see them in stores to actually try them on and I don't wanna order them on a blind whim. They also have VERY cute dress pants and jackets!

I get a lot of wear out of my jeans, so I don't mind spending money on them. The way I do it is I will only purchase one or two things at a time, and space it out so I don't drop hundreds of dollars at once.

Seems to work. Plus I like to piece together my wardrobe like a puzzle.

Never tried the VS jeans. I don't want to order blind either.

There's no way I could pull off their business wear in my office though. Accountants = most conservative people ever.

Also, I wonder if the people who design the VS catalogs realize that women generally wear shirts under their suit jackets?

Edit: If you do order from the VS catalog, I believe you have to ship the items you don't want back rather than returning them to the store. Big pain in the ass.

I think it's time for a new pair of Clarks. I am thinking Wallabee's this time.

Edit: If you do order from the VS catalog, I believe you have to ship the items you don't want back rather than returning them to the store. Big pain in the ass.
This is the hassle that i dont want to go through - and i've been to like a bajillion different VS because i love their bras & panties - but the only clothes they EVER have, in store is the "pink" collection - which is just sweats

I'm going with Wal Mart or Dollar General. Was that already said?

    Edit:
I currently own (and am wearing) option 3 in option 1 material. I really want a pair of Wallabee's, and the second pair just really caught my attention. I like their take on the traditional lace tennis/walking shoe.

    Yes, and dismissed as counterproductive.
