Just play the Jets weekly. That's the only time that stadium is full.

you have to be 12 to appreciate ridiculous, absurd comedy?

if you can't see the humor or the flat out absurdity as to WHY it would be observed as "funny" in our society, then you have to lighten up!

Who said that? I just think the only people that thought that was hilarious were probably getting ready to catch the bus to middle school. That's all.

    Moving on.

I think its still a big deal because like I said, it hasnt happened yet. NOBODY in the 4 major sports has been in the locker room with an openly gay man, 2014 or not.

I personally dont care either way, but I can absolutely understanding why he would come out to the world...this isn't your neighbor, he's a public figure. Its awesome that his team mates didn't out him, even accidentally, but it'll be very difficult for that to not happen moving forward. He'd rather be out in front of it as opposed to rumors amongst team mates and dealing with reporters. Good for him.

    Are you fucking kidding me?

Then again it doesn't help that Artie interviewed a guy who has the same communication skills as a vegetable.

    Re: 2014 NFL Offseason

What will be interesting is why he doesn't get drafted. I mean excuses are already flying. He is a tweener, he is too short to be an NFL pass rusher. I think you will get a lot of NFL executives speaking about his character and how great of kid he seems to be, but will use excuses to point out reasons why he wouldn't be drafted. Prior to this wasn't he a projected 3rd round pick? Now he is being talked about as more of a 4th, 5th round pick? He was a good players in a top college program so no reason not to take a chance on him, he would also work best in only a few teams. NE would probably be his best place they would shut out the media and shut down the kid from talking, being interviewed.

College players with guns, drugs, domestic issues get drafted every year with NFL teams hoping to find a diamond in the rough, will be interesting to see what happens with this kid.

He is 100% smart for coming out with this now before the draft, combine, so all the typical questions can be asked now ie. how would you handle an NFL locker room environment among others.

Steelers will definitely draft this guy.
Wouldn't be shocked if it's in the 3rd round or earlier either with the way their organization is ruined run these days with reaching/awful value selections.
At least he'd be a new classy player to fix their terrible locker room, though.

Steelers have named former LB Joey Porter a defensive assistant coach, team announced.

Legitimately the dumbest franchise in the NFL today. Jesus Christ.

In all seriousness about the Browns, not sad to see Lombardi go. He sucked.

I am hoping that the NFL makes Haslam sell the team, he's such a clown.

Not sure how anyone could tell if he sucked in just 1 year.

Maybe they'll keep the next coach/GM for longer than a year or 2.

He previously worked for the Browns and sucked back then too.

Who knows how long anyone is there? Haslam is making me miss Art Modell. (well, not really)

Michael Sam Sr. told The New York Times that he received the news last Tuesday when his son wrote in a text: "Dad, I'm gay."

Sam's father took the news hard. He said he was eating at a Denny's restaurant but had to leave after receiving the text.

"I couldn't eat no more, so I went to Applebee's to have drinks," Sam Sr. told the newspaper. "I don't want my grandkids raised in that kind of environment."

Sam Sr., who described himself as "old-school," told the newspaper the idea of a gay player in the NFL bothers him, even when that person could be his own son.

He told the newspaper that late Hall of Famer Deacon Jones, the leader of the Rams' Fearsome Foursome who is credited with terming the word sack, "is turning over in his grave."
And if his dad ever needs money someday, you'd sure hope he never comes walking up to his son, the NFL millionaire, with his hand out.

yeah I couldnt believe that. If you feel that way i guess thats you're prerogative, but how do you say those things publicly about your own son?
