Re: Official Colorado 2013
I wish they'd do a 2 or 3 day stint somewhere like Telluride, and not in Commerce City. Colorado is one of the most beautiful places in the country and they play in a sports center in the most industrial part of the city? Again? 3 times? Why?
I think Boulder chased them off after the 2001 fine for playing too long, and no tailgating policy.
Red Rocks could easily sell out 7 to 10 nights in a row if DMB would ever do something like that, but they won't.
Sports Authority is too big and costs too much upfront for the band. Something like 1.5 million to have an event there.
Pepsi Center has crazy people that throw knives on stage, and it's summer so no one wants to sit inside, even though it will be 100 plus in August like usual. Though the view inside the Pepsi Center will be similar to that of the beauty of Commerce City.
I wish City Park would do some kind of real music festivals, but apparently the music disturbs the animals at the zoo so they can't have large events there either.
Broomfield sucks.
Fiddler's Green sucks and it's too small.
So I guess this leaves us with the band coming every 2 to 3 years to play downwind of the dog food factory, traffic-laden, no trees, no parking, no camping, no mountains, asphault, dusty, astroturf ground, hard bleachers, sports field that was not built for music, ugliest place in Colorado for a concert weekend. Woo.
