Very interesting encore. It seems on the rare side that the boys would debut a song in the encore. (could be wrong)

This is my 2nd favorite show out of 94 seen. Helped that I had 3rd row center seats - but that So Right, Grey Street (5th verse), You Never Know, Granny opening run was an all-time favorite for me.

Also sat in bleachers at Wrigley for the first time earlier that day. Cubs got 1 hit by the Dodgers, shocker.

never thought I would enjoy a "radio show" so much, but a lot of DMB's best songs are radio songs.

Spring 02 was awesome. Allstate Arena was absolutely on fire that night, too. Definitely one of my favorite shows I've seen.

I too was there for these two Allstate Arena shows. They rocked the roof off that place. First Gravedigger was a nice treat! 2002 was a great year for the boys!!

Awesome set. People would bitch about I Did It. I can see the thread now. Allstate is a great place to see a show. Saw D&F there in 2003 and it might be my favorite concert ever.

You should have been around to hear the "real" versions, when it was Dave solo in the E1 slot. The song absolutely blows full-band in my opinion, but it's always good to hear something you haven't gotten before.

My first show was 4.8.02. A weak set on paper (probably the weakest of the tour), but the band was on fire and it was this show that sucked me in. I really do miss having a keyboard player in the band, its nice not having Dave's guitar and Boyd being drowned out by Tim's guitar.

Or Tim just straight up playing Dave's part for him.

Yeah, I never thought in a million yrs that we'd actually miss Butch Taylor so much, but that whole "sound" from that era was indeed a better sound.

Tim Reynolds is an awesome guitar player, I just wish they'd use more acoustic with him from time to time. I'm not going to lie--I don't care for the electric sound as much these days, at least not all of the time. When I listen to tLWS or Busted Stuff versions of those songs, they really sound great to me.
