VIP Premium Gifts

Does anyone have any idea what the gifts are for this tour? I wasn't sure if someone from Mexico City might've been able to shed some light on this.

There are no premium packages for Mexico, or Warehouse tickets period, for any of the international dates

You would think that they would of announced what the packages are by now.

    Weird.

I'm sure the VIP premium gift for Mexico would have been bottled water.

Don't think they've ever announced the actual item, have always gone with:

VIP Premium Gifts? The only gift your getting is a rape of your credit card just so you can sit where you should be sitting because your 12/98 WH membership is irrelevant now thanks to the implement of the GArbage Pit.

I agree with all of this. Fuck GA.

At least for a few shows they'd sit VIP behind the most senior members. Now it's virtually impossible to get seats even close to the center of you don't buy VIP. Such a joke.

It's not really a joke in my opinion, it's a market. I'm sure you have gotten incredible seats dozens of times due to your seniority. Congrats, you benefited from a system that allowed you to perpetually get better seats than almost everyone else because you were there from the beginning. Should you be rewarded for that? Perhaps. However, in my opinion, rewarding you and other '98 members nearly every N2 of a 2 night stand up through the mid 2000s was simply overkill.

Now, instead, you still have a chance to get relatively good seats for "under market" through your sometimes-recognized seniority via the random lottery process. I have on numerous occasions in recent years (as an '05 member who accidently let his '02 account expire). Alternatively, you can pay $275 for VIP, which, guess what, is STILL below market for most venues for the top seats/pit (hell, I could probably go sell my 2 N2 VIP pits for SPAC and make over a grand in profit).

My point is this. If you miss the great seats so much, shell out $275 for your favorite venue once a year and do it. Most, if not all posters on here could afford that once a year. Are your days of going to 10+ shows a year with premium seats for $75 bucks gone? Yes, but all in all, we all still get a much better deal than many other bands, sporting events, etc. out there, AND the VIP process allows fans that weren't members of the warehouse since the beginning an actual chance to see the band up close without having to pay truly insane prices on stubhub while having to deal with thought of working with brokers, dealing with potential fake tickets, etc.

I have not gotten a single centered lower pavilion seat from Warehouse for a DMB show since they went GA. Not once.

And I couldn't care less about new fans sitting close. Weren't old enough to join the Warehouse in '98? Too bad. I wish I'd joined the Ten Club, when I was in third grade but I didn't, and they still do all seating by seniority (except for rows 1, 2, 9 and 10 or something like that).

So yes, it is a joke. Not quite as funny as the fact that you're willing to pay $300 to see Seven and Shake Me and Jimi from the pit, but still funny. $600 for my wife and I to have the seats I should be getting anyway? No thanks. That's roughly five Phish shows for the two of us.

They're not going to say what the Premier gift is, so this thread doesn't have any use till Austin.

I'm sure y'all can find an appropriate thread to pick the seniority argument back up if you want.
