Chicago dudes, if I were flying into Midway next Thursday at about 11 are there any breweries or nice beer bars in to occupy my time until my buddy gets off work at 5pm in the near vicinity to either Midway or Wrigelyville?

I'd probably recommend Revolution or Half Acre, but I'm not really sure where they are located with respect to where you will be...definitely worth looking into.

Of course there is always Goose Island as well...

Hopleaf might be the best option. Nothing really close to MDW, but Hopleaf is a bit closer to Wrigley than Half Acre or Rev

My least favorite of the "seasonal" beers. Christmas beers don't do anything for me. But glad they are out for people to enjoy.

Nah, last year it was a little off for me. I wasn't the only one who thought this down here. Maybe SJ got a weak batch.

I remember the first batch I had wasn't as coffee forward as it usually is, but I wouldn't call that "off". It doesn't help that we didn't get bottles locally until almost 2 months after the bottle dates.

Gf's father gave me a Kulmbacher Eisboch on saturday. Not sold in NH, we have to go to a distributor in MA to get it

I felt bad taking his last one so we split it. very good beer. If anyone has access to a 6 pack i suggest picking one up. it's a shade over 9% and will run you around $16.

Big Bad Baptist is incredible fresh. Love this beer. But I remember having it after a few months and it just totally lost it's character, which I've heard is a problem with that beer. I saw it posted in here earlier but definitely drink that big bad boy fresh.

Also, Founders Harvest Ale is just glorious.

Damn, that's an impressive list. Obviously, those breweries are amazing, but definitely check out Pannepooch Reserva from Hair of the Dog as well. Really good BA quad that he made with De Struise for their 20th anny last year.

That's a nice tap list from Jester King. I picked up a couple bottles of O&P and a few of the Kollaboration a couple weeks ago. Had the Kollab while there, it was nice. Pretty dry, a lot of farmhouse style funk.
