So excited for this show. I believe they have not been in Tuscaloosa since 94.

I really like the venue. Easy in/out of the shows I've been to, plenty of parking around, lots of bathrooms.

Lots of places/bars downtown where it'd be easy to get in and have a drink/something to eat and walk down the hill to the venue.

Likely, I'll be hitting this show. Wonder why they're not doing Oak Mountain again this year. Think they can't sell it out? Seemed packed last year. Also, wonder if the Roll Tide frat boys will really show out for this one?

I wondered that too, Oak Mountain has been packed. I'm sure the frats will be representin'. Luckily the spring term ends in May so a good number of students will be home for the summer.

wxdudes - I am not sure if it will be finished in time for show but they are building a hotel downtown. Literally walking distance to the show. Sorry, I am not living in Tuscaloosa anymore so I can't remember the name. Ill try to find that for you.

As far as north or south? There is a hampton end off of 359 that leads right to downtown and the venue. This is south of town.

I just booked this Embassy. It opens mid April. Looks like best option with regards to venue access and not driving.

Making the 2 hour drive to and from on a work night is going to suck but if it's a super tiny venue it'll be a good intimate show hopefully. Would still prefer Oak Mountain (one of my favorite venues) but this will do.

The venue is near downtown? That's pretty cool even if it is in Tuscaloosa

It's not a very big venue is it?

Edit: Nevermind just read it's north of 7K. That's tiny. Really thinking about hitting this show as well.

If it makes you feel any better, I'll be driving that far to Southaven and back from where I teach, and have to teach the next morning. But it'll be worth it. Oak Mtn is one of my all time faves too, but looking forward to this little amp at T town. If y'all are down for tailgating hmu.

That's how I was leaning. I think the last Oak Mountain filled up, but that was a Friday night. Do you remember if that show was sold out?

Just looked at pricing on Warehouse, $85 Pits and $75 Reserves, I bet that means the entire lower section of 30 or so rows will be a huge GA Pit...not crazy about that

Been there for a few shows, the pit is decent size generally. Last time I was in one there there was a good bit of room to move around though.
