Re: underrated lyrics
My first interpretation of Two Step at Piedmont Park intro:
Not the actual lyrics (their close)..but indeed hit home with me on my first couple, wrongful listens:
"It started out the sweetest row, of flowers, bloom and grow,
All that I saw was light and everything seemed like so right,
But as I grew, as the years went by, Oh I saw the darkness would show its eyes,
Made me feel, still as though the light stuff was much worth fighting for,
There are times when I'm alone, I'm underneath the blankness of sadness
And all I want is to see you smile, my baby, oh my lovely one,
And so I raise my eyes up to the heavens, are you up there?
Take your time Lord, but let us....(really wish I could interpret this...but I can't)"
