Re: **Official North Carolina Swing 2014 Thread**

Agreed, what a fantastic show in Raleigh. So glad to see the boys back at the Creek. I mentioned a few times last night, where's the crowd? Carter seemed to notice as well, with only throwing just a handful of sticks. The acoustic set, as was the second set, pretty awesome.

I'm baffled to see the moaning and complaining that goes on, these guys put every bit of energy into their performances. Sure, I can understand when you see multiple shows (I'm doing 18 this tour) or ride the couchtour bus, you may wish for something else, but when the boys play it, they're performing at 150% capacity, no matter what the song. By the encore break, Dave was sweat soaked to the point, sweat was literally pouring off him as though he was standing in the rain. See y'all in Va!

Dean thanks for doing both NC shows! Was in section 1 just 4 rows behind your rig and am glad the tape turned out well after all the hassle y'all went through early on. I'm on the golf course listening to them as I type. You are awesome and did a great job.

Maybe it was being in the lawn for the first time? I don't know, but the energy from the crowd seemed non existant. I've never been able to hear myself sing at a DMB show, and I could last night. Not to mention the loudest crowd reaction i heard was for a cover song. Just weak.
Was just getting ready to post this. I was in section 1, 7th row, and even though I have never sat lawn at a DMB show, I thought I was in the fucking lawn with some of these people around me. All I heard between songs were screams for "CRASH!" "YOU & ME!" "SEVEN!" "SEVEN DAVE!!" I was literally the only person around me that sat down for You & Me

Great shows in NC. Finally got STJLs, twice. Didn't really mind the repeats. I get Seek Up, Lover, STJL, Halloween, and some classics I can't complain. Energy sick as always in Charlotte. Raleigh def came with it after so long not being there.

I had seats and moved to the lawn(Raleigh) I thought section 6 was horrible. Great time in grass where I was.

Interesting... thought the crowd around me actually pretty good. Except for the guy that yelled "Hell yeah, Typical!" during the start of Seek Up.

The guy beside me was telling his friend how many shows he's been to and "it's all about Charlottesville really, it gets serious there" and when WWYS started he yelled "that's what I'm talking about!" Then proceeded to sing the wrong first line to the song then sat down and looked bored the rest of the song

Jane was one I had been chasing forever too, then get it back to back nights? Crazy.. I even brought a sign for that song one night years ago when I was 2nd row. Always eluded me, good times! I love love that video they play on the screen during Jane, pure awesomeness

So much this. I was glad to get it twice. After 15 years of 0.

My short opinion of the past 2 days. #BestRoadTripEver
And the band has been good too.

I think 2013's show was actually HELPED by the rain delay. They had a shortened amount of time to cram the set in and just rocked it out non-stop.

2010 was great as well with Minarets, The Stone, Lover Lay Down, One Sweet World.... Encore sucked ass but the main set was still great. I would be all about Charlotte getting 2 nights in the future.

My biggest and really only complaint from the NC shows was no So Right and/or Raven. I can't seem to catch So Right, was hoping it would open Raleigh

Yea the storm delaying 2013 was a buzzkill but in the end all we lost was If Only (it was somewhat enjoyable this year, trying to get into it). I've never been to even so much as a below average show in Charlotte
