Nope, I only bought single tickets. She wasn't sure if she could go or not, so I just bought for myself. If I can get off work, she's still going to go because she likes Nashville, but she won't go to the shows with me.

Can one of you locals/regionals recommend a good place to get some late-ish food? Allison doesn't land till like 8:30 on night zero, and I'm sure she's gonna wanna have dinner when she touches down. So I need to find a place that serves booze and decent food till like 11pm or midnight.

I'm not a local, but I've been to Nashville many times. The Patterson House is the bomb and open till 1 or 2 I think. Cocktails are amazing, and the food is really good. It's a limited menu of bar stuff (apps, sliders, grilled cheese, tater tots, etc...) but it's very good. It's kind of a speakeasy-type joint. Much more known for it's bar, but if you want a place to get a really good drink and some munchies, it's great.

Duke's on Main St. is open late, has a great bar and killer sandwiches if you want something a bit heartier.

Merchant's is really good too for more of a sit-down type place. (Not overly fancy by any means though.) Reservation is probably a good idea (though I'm pretty sure walk-ins are fine too.)

I *think* Hattie B's Chicken is open later on Fridays and Saturday - midnight or 1?

Merchant's looks perfect; bistro part open till 1 and it's downtown so we can get a few drinks afterward. Second floor looks dope too, but they close at 10 and I wouldn't want to sit down after 9.


Duke's is between the venue and our Airbnb, so we may end up there post show one night.

No prob! I'm sure there some locals that will have some great suggestions as well but those have been some of my favorites on my visits. I've actually only been to the bistro floor at Merchant's, never eaten at the 'fancier' 2nd floor but the bistro food is quite good.

Damn! That'll be a nice little vacation for y'all. My fiance joined me on my trip to Cville 12 with our then 7 week old son and she just stayed in the hotel with him during the shows.

I would love that show released because the tape is pretty subpar. No fault of the taper, they were crappy about tapers and he was the only one who got his equipment (snuck) in and had to do his best from the pit. didn't have to sneak in equipment. only two of us dealt with the hassle that day, as we could only tape from the VIP area at the 40/50 yard line. i got mine up to about 10' and started rolling as soon as i got in, which was maybe 5 songs before the other taper. my battery died somewhere around 90-minutes, at which points his tape takes over

There's a new place downtown like a block from the venue. Its a 24/7 6 floor dinner. http://www.thediner.com/. Never been so I don't know how it is.

They are open till about 2AM and usually serve food till 1AM I believe.

Had a little confusion with tickets. I now have two pairs of seats for N2, and need a pair for N1. I already sold the pair of lawns I had for N1, thinking I was getting seats.... They turned out to be N2's. Anyone want to trade a pair of N1's for a pair of N2's?

This is my screwup, I got mixed up and thought I was getting N1's, but got N2's. Checked my confirmation and that's what I bought, so it's my mix up. I didn't even check before I mailed them to him, which I should have done.

So anyone who wants to help him out would be helping me out, too.

taking a closer look at my hotel situation... I reserved a refundable room and now looking into it more I realize it may not be the best part of town and the hotel looks like a dump.. Really don't need anything special because I won't be spending a ton of time at the hotel, and will likely be using uber to get around all weekend, but I want to be comfortable. Also the hotel I reserved had some really bad reviews


any locals or people who have stayed in town before, any particular area that has reasonably priced rooms and not too far from the action of downtown? I know generally speaking the prices all across town are pretty damn high. Is the airport area a viable option?

It really depends on how close you need to be. I'm staying about 15 miles outside of downtown which is completely fine for me. I have no problem with a 20-30 min drive into town and driving back out at the end of the night. It allowed me to get a much nicer hotel that I'll be comfortable in for a 3 night stay without paying a crazy amount of money.

I have been searching and have seen outside of town is much more reasonably priced. My thing is I did not plan on driving much at all. For the fact of drinking and also convenience with parking downtown. I planned on using uber to get downtown and pretty much walking from there.

I know some of the places outside of town are cheaper but I will get hit on the other end with cost of uber

The airport area may be a happy medium for you there then, as it's only about 10-15 mins or so from everything so the Ubers wouldn't be crazy expensive.

In terms of parking, if the weather is nice park on the north/east side of the river and take the pedestrian bridge over to Ascend. I think parking over there is $5. Sometimes Nissan Stadium (Titans) has their parking lots open and is free. Everything on the south/west side of the river will be at least $20. On Saturday there is also a country concert at Bridgestone Arena so Saturday parking will be a mess.

I've heard from a few people that LN VIP tickets are around $370. At that point, buying lawn off StubHub would be cheaper I believe
