Now that the episode has finally aired, that letter to Becca was intense.

wow that was mostly a hilarious episode with a pretty emotional ending.

    SPOILER

obviously hank isnt going to die, but it will be interesting to see what happens now. people are going to look at that like an attempted suicide, and it appears as if he has finally hit rock bottom. (i wish my rock bottom consisted of fucking that gorgeous actress) im anxious to see where they go with this....what a fantastic show

Another hilarious episode, but what a crazy ending! I definitely think they're going to look at it as an attempted suicide; it will be curious to see if that's really the case or if his rock-bottom binge just got a little too out of control.

My brother was an extra on one episode. He plays "guy in strip club". It's the only episode I've seen. It's where Duchovny's friends comes to visit because he and wife are splitting up or something....? I wasn't impressed, but I don't really like David Duchovny...I only liked him when he imitated Jeff Goldblum on SNL's celebrity jeopardy

You should start with the first episode.

seriously, the writing and cinematography on this show are just superb. they know how to toe the line between funny and dramatic without shifting gears too quickly or overdoing it like say Scrubs or something like that. its really hard to do and they do it perfectly. next to mad men and breaking bad this is the best show on tv i think. and it gives breaking bad a run for its money.

Kind of surreal. The only problem is we know Hank doesn't die which kind of takes away some of the suspense. But as witty as the writing on the show can be, it can be just as heartfelt and genuine and Duchovny really plays both effortlessly too.

Kapinos did a great job writing that letter. It was a pretty powerful moment IMO.

We prettty much know he's gonna bang his lawyer too. Even though you know he won't die, you aren't thinking that as that final scene happens. Good stuff. Earlier someone said this was behind Breaking Bad and Mad Men as the best show on tv. I think Boardwalk Empire is up there on that Level 1 plateau with Breaking Bad and Mad Men, but Californication is not far off.

Another very solid episode. A little light on the comedy but very good. The chemistry between Hank and Karen is amazingly good.
