Re: Favorite beer of choice?

Glad they are finally doing cans. I've always favored their drafts over their bottles. Never matched up. Hoping cans will fair better.

Trillium releases 4packs at $22 which is the highest I've seen. Single Cut should be around $16 as you mentioned, Ben. Magic Spells may be worth the $20 though, it's great stuff.

I saw something that they had to shut down their brewery for sanitary concerns. I always liked their stuff, but that's way too much for their beer

yeah, I have a tough time spending $20+ for an amazing DIPA from trillium. I won't be spending that on singlecut cans even though it's a solid beer

I will only spend that much ($20 range) if I REALLY like the beer. I get a lot of my beer from Other Half and they tend to be in that $16-$20 per 4-pack range. I have gotten Trillium once (traded for it the other times) and that was one of the few that I found was worth the $20 price range. Interboro is right around $16 for their IPAs. LIC Beer Project, GreenPoint and Barrier are right there at $16 per 4-apck as well. I think Veil is a little lower price point and I think most people in here would put their beer on par with just about anyone.

I have seen Tired Hands hitting $24 on some recent releases (most of there stuff is in the $16-$20 range too) and I just won't sped that much on a 4-pack. Monkish is getting up there and the demand is insane for that beer. Read on the last few releases that people with Monkish were demanding 2 for 1 on trades. Now that is ridiculous.

Yes, that was just last month. Saw the posts on Instagram about it. Maybe the rat feces adds to the hoppy flavor.

There's 2 cases of Tweak sitting on local bottle shop shelf. $13.99. I want so badly to buy them all, especially since no BCBS for me this year.

Was lucky to get a can of Monkish My First Canning Line DIPA. Very good beer. Need to find a Veil trader, would love to get Master Shredder.

nice - saw Canning Line floating around in a ton of trades when it came out a couple of months ago.

Was going to trade a Tree House Double Shot 500 bottle for 2 Monkish cans (Foggier Window + Spock It) and a Tired Hands Milkshake, but didn't pull the trigger. Wish I did.

For the Monkish traders you saw, were they offering to do 1:1 swaps or trying to get more for their 1 can?

I'm in a FB group that's all dollar for dollar trades. It's akin to trading tickets here. No BS.

Looks like it won't replace 15 packs:

"Beginning in early 2017, 19.2oz All Day IPA cans will be available in a convenience store, ballpark or arena near you!"

Having a stout night with some friends on Friday. Grabbed some Victory Java Cask, Bruery So Happens It's Tuesday, and Stone Xocoveza last night. Also bringing some TH Double Shot and Evil Twin Maple Jesus. Excited to see what else will be drank.

Sweet! Fewer trips to the fridge!*

*Disclaimer: as long as they keep it as cheap as the 15 packs.

Was just reading through their facebook (can't believe people are complaining about this ):

Founders Brewing Co. The 12oz cans will continue to be offered in a 15-pack, but the 19.2oz cans will be single-serve only.

Single serve only... so you'll see them in the random case with the 20 oz bud lights, keystones, etc. Lame.

I've had Abraxas...it's great. Definitely worth picking up. Coffee Abraxas and Barrel Aged Abraxas are also filthy beers.

I'll be curious what the price point will be for this as well. I don't care where it is in the shop. I'm sure I'll buy a few of them at least initially. I like the larger can option....I mean, how often do you only drink 1 All Day IPA? This is a no-brainer.

$2.00-$2.50 for a 19.2oz can of all day sounds about right. Any thing more than that and it's not worth buying over the $15pk

It'd be more likely that I drink an entire 15 pack than just 1.

For those in the Philly area, Hop Hands (APA) by Tired Hands Brewery in Ardmore, Pa is a great beer. It's unfiltered with northwest hops, but it's not canned or bottled, so that doesn't really help those not in the region. I will be drinking that when I go to the Tired Hands Fermentaria Friday night before Tim Reynolds' solo show around the corner.

Another great beer I've been drinking recently is an IPA by Spellbound Brewery in Mount Holly, NJ. It is canned and not bottled.

    Has anyone tried those?

I will be drinking that when I go to the Tired Hands Fermentaria Friday night before Tim Reynolds' solo show around the corner.

Another great I've been drinking recently is an IPA by Spellbound Brewery in Mount Holly, NJ.

    Has anyone tried those?
Tired Hands is my second home. I will be there Friday eating before Tim Reynolds.

Also, Hop Hands is canned, every Wednesday at 5PM TH does a release, and Hop Hands varies in their release rotation.

Nice! I've never been to Ardmore or Tired Hands and I am excited to finally be going. I usually seek Hop Hands out finding where they have it on tap and gives me a reason to check out new bars. I randomly came across Hop Hands one night when I was at Johnny Brenda's almost a year and a half ago.

Wow, it's canned now!? Thank you for letting me know! I emailed the brewery after that night at Johnny Brenda's and it wasn't canned then, so that is great news. I figured it was still only on draught.
